Just one thread please.

Looking at your pictures, the belt is on inside-out. The ribs should engage the drive pulley on the supercharger. You will have to replace it.

just go to the car wash, use the tire degreaser. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and then spray off with rinse mode, and dry than use armor all on everything and bam!!! you got yourself one beautiful engine bay!!!

A SS/SC doesn't have 205 stock.It is under-rated at 205 stock.

Nice setup BTW.

Your welcome dude. Dont regret your setup, its bad ass. I went turbo because of the deal i got, and you went SC cuz of the deal you got. Neither one is better. You can upgrade to a TVS and some 60lb'ers and make some sick power as could i upgrade to a GT3071 and 60lb'ers and make just as much. What matters most is it makes us happy.. Not these guys on the forums. But it does make me happy if i could help at least one of them

I've wanted to do that and always was hesitant as I wasn't sure if it was completely safe to spray down the entire engine bay with a pressure washer... electrical components and such. But do people do this safely with no precautions? If so let this n00b know

WRONG! the SS/TC is a 2.0... with direct injection.. it's called the LNF and it will ut down that much tuned but a 2.4 IDK if the stock internal's are good to that but his auto tranny sure is.. and to try and say YOU would know what HIS car will put down is just plain INSANE... NO 2 car's respond to modifacation's the same even if the mod's are the same... try and argue with me ive seen it on the dyno.. same year 5.0 BOTH with fresh crate motor's making DIFFERENT hp and tq.. **** the 350 t bucket's we had in hot rod you at UTI all put down #s with the same mod's.. and the one i threw together put down more TQ than anyone on only 7 cylinder's.. damn class mate put in a fouled plug he thought was good.

good luck with your build man.

He wasn't saying the SS/TC has a 2.4. If he had used punctuation his sentance would be more clear. He meant teh 2.4 with the SC would make near 290HP and who knows, on a stage 2 setup he might. Now TVS, oh if only I could be the first 2.4 boosted with a TVS

Nice pics Jimmy, try to get us some vids when you get a chance..

Sorry bud. The Belts are ribbed on both sides.

The installer did however cut the belt to narrow. Only one rib needed to be removed, not two.

Get that belt replaced soon Jimmy.

Check Beck's thread to see how he removed the one rib on his belt.
