2.4L Misfire and Flashing Check Engine Light
Well sunday night my car started to misfire but not extremely bad. I pulled the code which was P0496 and changed the fuel pressure valve thats located just to the right of the valve cover if you're looking at the front of the car. I cleared the light and took it for a ride. Still misfired. So i then changed out the plugs and fuel filter and went for yet another ride and its still doin the same thing and progressively gettin worse it seems. Also it now has a P0300 check engine light on. A guy that I work with thinks that its a coil pack. Just curious to see what you guys think it is or if you have any advice that might help me figure out whats going on with my car. Thanks CSS.NET!!!

Do you know which cylinder is misfiring? If it does, move the coil packs to different cylinders (just make sure you keep trakc of where). And if the misfire changes cylinder then you'll know which pack is causing it.

Well after talking to a service rep at the Chevy dealer my work goes through I just ordered 4 new coil packs. I thought the next logically step would be to replace those so thats the direction I'm going with. They'll be in tomorrow so we'll see how it goes and I'll post up more afterwards. And I'm still open to suggestions of course. Thanks to those who have replied so far. For those who were curious the replacement plugs that I used are Bosch Platinum IR Fusion's.

if you had access to hptuners or a tech 2 (the service rep/dealership does) you could have isolated which hole is misfiring... could have saved yourself a few bucks in case coils are not the issue.
