Yeah I had to ask anyways, lol. There's quite a few mufflers outta magnaflow and hate to spend money on something that might not sound so good. I looked up that muffler and saw it had a 2.25" inlet. Be nice if you could get 2.5" unless they got it an I just didn't see it.

YouTube - Cobalt 2.2 with Magnaflow #14829 Muffler.

Just driving around. Did a 0-60 pull with 3/4 throttle. I said 0-50 in the video but I went to 60. This is my first recording so don't talk about how bad it is. Just now getting over a cold so I threw this together real quick. This is not my driving style. I did this type of driving just so you could hear how the muffler is. You don't need to watch it all if you don't want, I know its a long video.

I actually got mine slapped on this afternoon. You car seems to be a lot louder, do you have any other exhaust mods? Does the muffler 'break in' over time? I have read that some do.

Give it some time. Mine was quiet at first too. Unless an aftermarket intake makes it louder?? I have the Injen CAI but its SRI for now.

O, and post pics!!

Do you have lowering shocks as well? And yeah the rims don't look bad at all. Did you buy em black or paint em yourself?

Thanks for letting me know, I hav ebeen reading up and it seems that half of people think that a packed muffler will break in and the other half don't, felt like I was going crazy trying to find a solid answer. The guys at midas slapped it on for $50 bucks and it looks great.

Erock, do you feel it was worth the $200?? I've seen a full tsudo catback for $250 with f&h. Just trying to compare if it's worth it or not

It is hard for me to say right now. I paid $150 and $20 for shipping plus $50 for install (discounted $30). The sound at idle is amazing, just like mybalt10 said, a nice deep tone that is not too loud. There is absolutely no drone when cruising along (tsudo would most likely have a very annoying drone to it that can put a baby to sleep so if you have a newborn not a bad thing, hehe). When I really step on it, the exhaust speaks up but not nearly as much as I thought it would. If it breaks in like mybalt10 suggests, I will be extremely happy with my decision. There is a carbon coating or something that needs to burn off as well as the packing getting broken in or something.

The muffler looks a lot better than the NI (in my opinion). I almost bought that Tsudo but have been down the cheeap exhaust road before. The constant drone and bad tone drove me crazy. Hope all that helps.

Oh and by the way, the shop had to fit some additional piping due to the shorter length of the Magnaflow, our stock muffler is about the size of my dinner table! Not really, I don't have a dinner table.

Is tsudo brand really that cheap of a brand? Just looking at options since I hate wasting money on bad
choices. And actually I do have a new born, lol. She turns 3 weeks old today

I just go by you get what you pay for, though I would never drop $700 on an exhaust. Actually, the Tsudo does not sound that bad at all...

YouTube - Cobalt 2.2 Tsudo N-1 catback

Congratulations on the baby!
