not too sure because i never did it, but you wont have a chance of making stock housing look like projectors.

i was trying to find a pic in the stock housing but i couldnt find it. wont look as good as this though.

I'm sure he meant the housings, painting the bulb is just stupid.

I'm not surprised. I figure no one will post a photo of it cus they know it has a horrible beam pattern and don't want to be hated on for having such shitty dangerous lights

I think were thinking different things altogether. I thought either way he was gonna put hids in the stock housing. I was telling him to save the money and do it himself. I wasn't referring to glare at all. I always recommend retrofits, but if someone does not have the money to spend on them, I'm not gonna bother explaining them.

It's how all the professional retrofitters seal up headlights, and is how OEM lights are sealed. You can actually buy the OEM sealer that Nissan uses, which is the same thing as window weld.

go with 6,000k. I used to have 10,000k headlight and fog light and was using the stock housing. You will be perfectly find using the stock housing, just aim them down and you won't bug oncoming traffic one bit. Now I have 6,000k Retrofits from buyhids.com and still running the 10,000k fog lights and I can tell a major difference in the brightness of the two. When i get the extra money I will for sure be buying the 6,000k bulbs for the fog lights as well. My biggest suggestion would be to jump on the new retrofits the buyhids.com just came out with and go with the 6,000k.

The problem is that no one on here parks at the correct distance. Lighting patterns should be judged at about 20-25 feet. Everyone here likes to park 5 feet away, so of course glare would be hidden from that close up.

I know they're not cobalts, but this should help with comparisons a bit.
