Cobalt Turbo to Cruze ECO

I recently purchased a silver ice metallic / black interior Cruze ECO with connectivity package. I am trading up/down (however you wish to look at it from a 09 Cobalt SS.) The car is yet to be in my possession. It is still in transit. Actually I haven't driven it actually. The deal won't be "finalized" until I drive it, but number crunching is done. I have read numerous reviews on the car and feel confident I will be satisfied. Pics will follow soon...

Reasons I switched:
Much better gas mileage 28/42
no premium gas required
lower maintenance (no syn oil needed, cheaper longer lasting tires)
I really could benefit from 4 doors.
better looks???

I will still visit cobaltss.net, but maybe not as often. I can also be found at cruzetalk .com

umm congrats i guess..but it seems u obviously need the car for those reasons so i understand the trade! but me on the other hand wouldnt do it lol.

I am actually excited about it. It will however take some time to get used to the much reduced power, but I will get over it. It isn't the choice for everyone, which is of course why there are so many vehicles out there, but this is the one for me.

Very nice! I've been looking into getting one of those as a DD for a while now. Although, I would still keep the SS for the weekend

probably not, would be like a 4 hour drive just for a hangout for me. I wouldn't be getting any tuning done. Plus work calls

Dang, I guess if you have to you have to. I will never trade in the SS. My 2yr old son will be driving it. I've entertained the thought of trading it in on an STI but I talked myself out of it because I would be too upside down on the trade in. I'll wait until I have this close to or paid off in full and then purchase another toy for my son/daughter to drive (due date June 7 so gender is unknown to me).

yeah, I was surprised, I was actually only about $400 negative equity.

I'm glad you're excited about your new car, man, but I just couldn't handle the reduction in power. Sometimes, I like to just go out and mash the gas to get that funny feeling in my groin. A Cruze ECO would just cause impotence.

That's really too bad. Once the new car novelty wears off and you get denied by a minivan you'll kick yourself for this.

You can scratch the no synthetic oil neeeded. GM will want you to run Dexos since this is a 2011 car. Dexos or equivalent is syntehtic.

but most mini vans way over 4,000 lbs as well I still say just a tune. Now I'm curious what a typical mini van runs in the 1/4 mile.
