You sure it was a SFE? Fords official press release even states the 6spd automatic:

All-New Ford Focus Officially Certified at 40 MPG with Features, Te ... - Press Release

The new Focus is certified by the EPA at 40 mpg highway and 28 mpg city through its advanced six-speed automatic transmission.

So cheaper than MSRP with out negotiations, not too bad.

eh if they get the 2 tone interior it will be a hell of a hard process to find matching seats.... covers would be easier or a blanket.
that's true

I believe the Ford's transmission is a auto-manual as well (read - no torque converter). Shouldn't be that bad.

Okay! We are driving the new cruze eco home I drove it. Feels solid and smooth. Ride is firm but not hard. Steering is very responsive and easy. The gea box is freaking smooth and solid. The clucth is butter! The car is easy to drive, shifts are smooth, solid and feel slightly mechanical. The power is ok. The car accels good, but not overly fast. Boost never kicks in like the lnf (I know its not suppose to). But on the high way at 60 or 70 and I down shifted to 3rd, it had some pep to speed up. The car is really quiet driving, literally zero ngine noise. I couldn't hear the engine when trying to down shift. The exhuast has like 8 mufflers so you can't hear that either. The only time you hear it, is high rpms.

For being cheap and eco it should do good.

Oh the bad thing... well the flat black plastic on the interior LOVES finger prints and skin grease...ugh. and the lack of rear cup holders, no rear arm rest, big dip/hole thing in trunk with no cover to make it flat. The main issue for me is lack of the comfy options.

the real bad issue is the dual mass flywheel and soft mounts, makes aggressive driving suck.
