It was never intended to be a performance car. A 6 speed and turbo don't make it one. Car makers are adding gears to improve mileage and turbos are to improve the power of an otherwise too small underpowered engine.

Take off your ****muffs and read he stated that the interior isn't much better because its just cloth over plastic. I can't agree with him more. While is defiantly a slightly upgraded interior than the G5's cobalt, ect. It still is GM's **** GARBAGE INTERIOR BUILD QUALITY. GM needs to get their heads out of their asses and actually make nice non FAKE interior cars.

Cobalt owner = only happy when hating on some other car. In this case the Cruze. You're probably just pissed that they stopped making the Cobalt. Try respecting other peoples rides and stop comparing the performance of the Cobalt versus the Cruze. They're two completely different markets in terms of who they're aimed at.

Cruze's interior is far superior to the Cobalt's or Ion's, hell the steering wheel controls alone make it such! They're rubber rocker switches, the headlight dial, same, rubber. Better than a cheap plastic feel. Climate control, and radio display better? Check. E-brake handle chrome button, smooth silver trim, mesh material or leather accented panels. It's not recycled milk carton material as seen on my Cobalt & HHR. Funny to attack that aspect, I had an Ion RL for a weekend, interior wasn't anymore impressive than my 2002 Cavalier's. Gauge cluster painfully dull, trunk uses the old tension rod setup, list goes on!

I test drove a Sonic, and I have to say performance wise its not close. But the comfort was there and on the test drive (on highway at 65) I was seeing 50+ mpg. Thats bad ass
