Every critic is raving about these things. Supposed to be "better" than the 3 series for less money. Still far from cheap- I wish i was in the situation to buy one of these things, probably stuck waiting 5 years for a used one.
Production has started, delivering in August. Anyone have plans for making the jump?

and yet it still looks old and dull. I could care less about an MP3 display on my dash anyway, that is what the stereo in the middle is all about. Yea yea, safety reasons but dont care, I have not had an incident because I glanced to the right slightly. And I was talking more of the gauges, you know, the speedo and stuff that matters.

Nice car, but I checked one out at a show at GM Canada HQ and the sport seats are still very disappointing. The bolsters don't come out far enough, and don't adjust in enough. I'm also not a fan of the touch-sensitive buttons for all the controls.
To get a similar level of performance I'm now considering a lightly used Regal GS instead of a 2.0L RWD 6spd ATS. For the difference in price you get way more car for the money with the GS.

Regal GS and ATS Prem. cost well in the $40k mark! Stats on the Regal GS 0-60- 6.2sec, quarter mile 14.6, lat gs- .90- ATS stats 0-60 5.4- quarter mile 13.9 lat gs .89!
The ATS i am giving stats for is the 3.6 v6 rated at 320hp, the car weighs 3500lbs, the Regal GS turbo is rated at 270hp but weighs 3700lbs, this is the problem with these new cars GM is making them too FAT! The quality and workmanship is outstanding in the Buick GS!
Our cobalt ss with GMS1 stats 0-60 5.3- quarter mile 13.5sec. and lat gs .92! All this for $25k! In other words our cars would rip the doors off these two new cars.
Our cars really are one of a kind, GM still has not made a car that can even comes close to the Cobalt SS turbo in its size category!
I finally lined up against a 2010 Mustang GT, from a stand still we raced 3 times in a row, well it wasnt even a race ripped the doors off of it! when i beat him the first time we stopped at traffic light ready to race again and he commented, is that a turbo, its is a quick car, when the light turned green, I ripped his doors off again! Loved it! Looking for a 2011 5.0 mustang now, might be a closer race!
I look forward to seeing a ATS -V twin turbo V-6

cant honestly look at Cadillac's anymore. They litterally are Americas worst depreciating car.
We took a 05 STS in trade, fully loaded, NAV, V8 sunroof all the stuff, and holy **** the thing was quick, think it was a 340hp v8. car had 70k traded in we gave here like 11k i think and were trying to sell it for $14,995 for 6 months, then finally the power steering went on a test drive, we were into it for like $12,500 and let it got for $10,995 after like 8 months. Think was such a shitbox, it also had this noise from behind the dash sounded like something clicking over and over, we had to send it to GM because our techs couldnt find it..... just a headache of a car that was over $40k new.
