Cruze looks are ok but I like the looks of the Cobalt coupe better. If they make a SS coupe maybe my sediments would change, but the engines are just way to small. Hard to really get excited bout a car with a 1 in the displacement column. I could really care less bout milage anyway. The more money oil costs and the more people use, the richer my province is, and the more jobs there are. Where else can you drop out of HS and get a $100,000/yr starting job. I don't avicate dropping out though. If you need a job though there are plenty to be had.

good lookin cruze first of all that's a lot of money for a small increase in hp/trq, i personally like the cruze looks and gas mileage, but it wasn't for me i had a base model cobalt lt and wanted more power and wasn't going to dump $1200 into the car just to see 150-155whp...
got the ss/tc and I'm very happy with it, the cruze isn't ment to be fast like ppl posted before, I'm sure you can make it fast with a turbo swap or some aggressive tune. but then u defeat the purpose of buying a fuel efficent fwd 4door.

What was your trap speed? Can you post the slip? My buddy is thinking of doing the same to his Cruze performance wise as you did. He know's it's a turd speed wise, but he works all over here in S. TX so he mainly bought it for mpg. I'll direct him to this thread asap.

Honestly man, I would be quite happy with the performance of the car. 1.4 liters moving a 3200lb car to a 15.3@89 is very respectable. Just think, the Volkswagen GTI runs 15.0's with 200hp(Flywheel) and 200lbs less in weight. And even with the price of your car combined with $2000 in parts spent you still come out cheaper than the GTI. Plus you get better gas mileage, its safer, and more comfortable. I say job well done. Who cares what these jokers think on here man. Do you.

you do realize it's not right? vince ... has gotten.. 42 and 60 lb injectors.. and ... get this.. has used them in the 1.4L sonic engine that .. OMG.............. IS USED IN THE CRUZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes i'm well aware that i'm being a dick to a mod . .but no.. it's not DI twas rumored .. but .. tis not the stock injectors are some where around 30 lbs at max used rail pressure which the cruze/ sonic use a variable rate pressure (so to extend the effective range of the injector without having to sacrifice idle stability and drivability like the lsj)

And being a smartass isn't against the rules. I can take it, I'm not a she-mod who gets butthurt when someone calls me out

Haven't been able to find much reliable info about the stock turbo.
It appears to be a honeywell-Garrett MGT14 / MGT1446MZG with a 38mm compressor. However that has only been verified as being used in the Euro cars. The US Cruze is said to have a Borg-Warner turbo but I can't find **** about it.
