DYnoed my car- 102 degrees outside
well i was goin to take some pics of my car by the lake and i came up on a camaro SS i played with him for a min till i knew where he was goin- RPM motorsports in Lewisville
I walked in and was like you guys touch ecotecs , they tried to tell me to go to a import tuning place and told me that shop uses their dyno, i was like you guys got a dyno? lets do it
so the best run with 102 outside temps on 93 octane (only)
was 218.4 hp/ 186.6 tq to the wheels
*edit the dyno sheet posted is not the best run of the bunch*
the air/fuel goes to 10.4 @ 5K, which iss pig rich
10.34 @ 4300 rpm to be exact
they said a lot of power could be had by leaning it out a bit
only time will tell but i am gonna dyno after any mods or changes

mchat..not yet. i only have 180 miles on it right now. It's so haot here, I don't think even the intercooler is doing much to keep my air dense. It was 118 today. You may see me on the road sometime. I work on the AFB. i just saw another red SS today on the 101 near Bell rd.
You have an SS?

it also says 4 am is the time.. most shops arent generally open at 4am I thought hehe.
I guess we could assume one of two different things:
A. the date+time on their computer was out of wack
B. it's not the correct sheet
my vote goes for "A" , since it seems realistic numbers.

I've been looking while I'm out driving, but the only Cobalt's I've seen are not the SS. What color is yours? I live fairly close to Luke (83rd Ave & Camelback) so if you see a Black SRT-4 like this:

That's me, flash your lights or wave or something (I've blacked out the intercooler & the windows are tinted now, so it's a little different than that pic.)
I will probably be hitting the track July 7th (Thursday Night). Providing I get my new turbo on and get some dyno time to tune it up. Let me know if you're interested in hitting the track.
BTW, with the heat and relatively dry air we have in Phoenix (along with the crappy 91oct gas) Water Injection might be something for you to look into.

Another thing about WI is that for "close" to stock boost levels you could probably actually get away with running 89 or even 87 octane around town. If you drive as much as I do, with current gas prices a decent WI system would pay for itself within a year.

To the original poster, any idea on the correction factor that day?

This is from a magazine article on "dynojet" dynos.
SAE j1349 correction:
29.23 in/hg.
77 degree temp
0 percent humidity
Standard correction:
29.92 in/hg.
68 degree temp
0 percent humidity
