I bought a used 05 SS saturday, and everytime you lock the car from inside then unlock it with the key, the alarm starts going off and i have to crank it real fast before it gets louder.
I talked to the dealership where i bought it and they claim it did not come with a keyless entry remote... can anyone back this up? if it didnt i think thats ridiculous.
and how can i fix this?
i have no car manual so i dont know how to turn any of that off.

Well Im pretty sure it did. An SS with power everything and a factory alarm but no keyfob?? I dont think so. Better go get one if you dont wanna keep dealing with the alarm sounding.

thats one of the security features that the cobalt has. your car should have come with a remote for keyless entry. if you dont get one then it will continue to do that until you disable the alarm. the reason for this is that incase someone tries to pick the lock it will go off. im pretty sure all of the ss/sc models came with the keyless entry but i may be wrong.

it has a keyfob they just lost it or something get yourself a new keyfob and your troubles will be over after it's programmed

mine does that a lot too. when i get out i hit the lock button on the door panel. then the car dings for a little bit and then maybe 5-7seconds after i shut the door, the horn honks signaling its locked. but then when i stick the key in the lock of the door on the outside and unlock it. the alarm goes off

yea you need the key fob. it will not stop otherwise

Check E-bay, they can be had cheaper. Get two, have them programmed at the same time.

Also, if they charge you more than a half-hour for the programming, don't go for it. It takes literally 5 minutes, but you do need a Tech 2.

Yeah, all SS models come with remote keyless entry. I would buy the keyfobs and make the dealership program them for free since they obviously did something with the original keyfobs. Once the new keyfobs are programmed the old keyfobs won't work anymore, however right now if someone with the keyfob could find your car they could get right into it.
