So, as you all might know Chevy is concluding the arival blue and introducing the laser blue in a couple months for the cobalt. I just saw the two colors side by side (at night). The laser blue was on an impala and the arival on a cobalt. Imo the laser blue is more of a true blue and looks a bit better. I even saw a cameleon shift (to purple) in the laser blue under intense light (my xenon head lights). I was going to get a cobalt ss 2.4 in either of the two colors, right now it looks to be the laser.
Has anyone had a chance to compare the two in person as I?
Give us your imput!

i thought that Laser Blue was Arrival Blue just renamed in the '06 year modles...im probably wrong
i like the brighter more flashy colors myself ...so whichever one stands out more

Take the Chevy Equinox in Blue Laser its Purple!
Way too dark

Im sure its gonna be okay on the normal Cobalt but on the SS, its too dark and not enough sporty....

no no no. they are different shades. IMO arival is lighter.

"cobalt ss" auto show I would buy the show cobalt in a heartbeat. that is the perfect cobalt, the wheels, engine and paint is the factor for me. I like the color shift from blue to purple.

I hate hate HATE the idea of laser blue on the Cobalt. I'm so glad I got mine in arrival blue. I parked right next to a laser blue Monte Carlo at Wal-Mart the other day and just looking at the two side by side, the arrival blue really stood out. That and you look up close and the metallic in the arrival blue REALLY pops out at you. I love it.

To be perfectly honest I wouldn't mind the laser blue...by itself...but in a choice between arrival blue and laser blue on my SS, arrival blue wins HANDS DOWN.

 

I Agree the Arrival blue is nicer, a bit sportier looking. it is a much better color for the Cobalt

 

ok saw both colors side by side during todays blazing morning, here in stl. the arrival looks better than the laser durring the day, but at night, when the street lights hit it, damn the laser looks way better. i'll probably get the arrival and stay in at night!

Arrival Blue will still be available to order on 2006 models until the end of this year. After that it will be discontinued.

 

Well considering I just made a deal on the 06 Cobalt SS/SC in Arrival Blue I think I will go with Arrival I think the color looks really great up close and from far away.

I definitely prefer Arrival Blue Metallic to Laser Blue.

Arrival Blue is just awesome - kind of like a combo of Electric Blue and Cobalt Blue with Metallic. It has a nice, deep hue in low light, and an bright, electric blue appearance in direct light.

Laser Blue just doesn't have the depth of Arrival Blue. It looks nice in the right setting, but all to often it appears purple - which I hate. I would never own a purple car, so why would I want to own one that appears to be a purple color??

I wouldn't mind if they added Laser Blue, but I think they should keep Arrival Blue Metallic on the choice of colors list.

I second that. Of course I saw that color on a HHR last night in the dark it looks blue, daytime purple.
