I'm pretty sure to the fuse box is the only way to do it.
Besides any wire you would try to splice into would go to the fuse box somewhere down the line so why not just go to the source

i meant i had it hooked up to the fuse directly but didnt work out that well and before that i accidently hooked it up to the lights and it would only work at night...

no there is no "radio fuse wire" welcome to GM lan, you have constant power and data signal

have fun. read my faq or search for a member ctscoccor's post on "RAP wire"

Just tap it to the fuse box using an add a circuit onto something affected by the RAP.

^^ Thats the answer you want right there.
Anything that retains power for that 10 min period and comes on every time you start the car.

The 12 volt cig lighter might work but i don't know if it has the juice for it.
The windows, sunroof (even if you don't have one there still is a live spot for it in the fuse box) wipers ect.
Infact if you don't have a sunroof I'd use that one, that way your giving it its own line instead of piggy backing something else

Talking

I agree with an add-a-fuse. I did this for all 3 of my gauges for my supercharger build. I did it with the sunroof fuse and the gauges go off when I open the door.

You can use the cig lighter wire, but it is constant power, so it will never turn off.

RAP wire is yellow in each of the kick panels, thick gauge almost white in color, will work until you open the doors then it goes from 12v to 0v!

remote wire to the amp isnt connected properly and you have an LOC

basically the amp is on without any source so it just plays a 50hz sinewave or something

ok go to the back and test it with a meter or look at the lights or something. is the amp staying on when the car is off? does it stop if you pull the wires from the LOC.

that issue is pretty common
