I personally like astrostart systems, I have had good luck with viper systems as well. They are not the most fun to install, I wouldn't recommend it if your not good at wiring, or working on cars

I have an autostart in my SS only because it was there when I bought my car. I might think they were more worthwhile if I lived somewhere hot and was using it to turn on the air before I got in but where i live in Canada I think heated seats are a better idea. Maybe look at putting heated seats in instead. We have them in our Envoy and they rock when its 25 below. Heat up almost instantly and the wiring is a lot easier.

I have heard of too many botched wiring jobs on Autostart systems. I had one friend who's Subaru tried to start the car while he was driving on the highway. It destroyed the starter but the ring gear was stil ok. Had another friend who's auto starter worked for 3 years before it died on him when he was 200 miles up north at the cottage. He couldn't start it and the local mechanic up there wasn't able to fix it either. He had to use CAA to tow it back to the city to find someone who could fix it.

LMAO-I just noticed you are complaining about the cold in Kentucky. Forget about the heated seats but for people who live somewhere cold it's a good option.
