LED map lights stay dimly lit after car is off?

It doesn't matter where you get them, they all do it. The map lights always have a small amount of constant power to them, but the normal halogen lights need so much power to light up that you don't see it. With the LEDs, they need so little power to light up that they are always dimly lit.
Pull the little plastic covers off under the light. Theres little slots where you can use a screw driver to pry the lens off. The bulbs are a major pain to get out if you don't have the right tool.

....this one is in my trunk Muahahahaaa!!! that light actually is useful now

I havent even looked, but how about for us guys with a sunroof who dont have the big map lights, we have the small ones under the mirror. Does that just pop out too?

It is due to how the body controller for the lighting works and the transistorized relays used to control the factory bulbs. There is a very small amount of leakage current that wouldn't be enough to light a regular bulb but due to how little current is required to light a light emitting diode (LED) they will glow somewhat even when off. It's pretty common on a lot of cars that uses a computerized power module to control body lighting functions (which is done to provide the theater diming, battery rundown protection, etc.).
If it bothers you then you should be able to stop it by wiring in a small resistor in series with the LED. This will put enough load on the circuit to dissipate the leakage current when off so that the LED won't light up when off.

we have leds in pot lights and random light fixtures in the house to replace the hot halogens...even those are always dimly lit..with switches off...kinda weird lol

i have an '08 sport and Im debating wether or not to get the LEDs for my Map Lights. How Much brighter are they than the 194s. i know they are a diff color, but did the interior get brighter. Also which version did you get? thanks in advance.
