the driver side headlight keeps burning out on my cobalt ss/sc, it's only the lowbeam filament though. does anyone know how to test to see if there is a short of some sort, like can i hook up some sort of an electrical tester(dont know what they are caleed) to see what the current is or something i dont see any striped wires or anothing so i dont know what it would be. also i replaced the bulb and the low beam worked until i drove the car and highered the rpms!!!

no i dont see any and i think both the high and the low beam filaments would burn out if it was moisture

usually 1 filament will burn out with moisture never both

you can buy a mulit meter which is safe to use or a test light which is less safe to probe with. but if it was a short theres not really a way that would effect the bulb

thanks guys i will take a closer look to see if there is any moisture but i dont recall there being any, i am hoping it was just a bad bulb and that there isnt actually a problem.

same issue here but havnt found a fix yet. interested to know before i install hids. i dont wanna have one of those burn out on me.

I have the same issue but it is always a random bulb. I have never be able yo find a fix.
