Seems interesting. Never knew it could be done,but then again I'm still learning about cars lol. Just wondering if anyone on this forum sees this as practical.

Yea i do it all the time, in slow traffic and stuff. i also bump it out of gear when slowing down. you can only clutchless shift when ur takin it real easy though, the trick is to bump it out of gear and when the rpms drop just enough you can slipper it into the next gear.
sometimes i've made it grind though because i did it too slow/fast and it makes me cringe so i dont always do it

this is how I learned at driving stick as well. 13 eaton-fuller free footed 13 speed tranny in a 1984 GMC General grain truck! lol
Like stated before I would rather buy a new clutch then have my synchros and tranny get fucked up

I only use the clutch on my bike when im stopped. I do it quite a bit in the cobalt. I will occasionally get a bit of a grind but nothing serious. I dont care too much about the cobalt though its getting sold next spring for a new challenger srt8

I do this all the time when driving big rigs. Pretty much anything with synchomesh gears you don't need to do this but anything without them you would have to. Doing this with synchromesh does not hurt the vehicle at all.

No. You can only do it at a certain RPM which is usually pretty low in the RPM range. Everything is spinning at the right speed to smoothly go into the next gear. Doing it at 5800+ rpm would be the most retarded thing to do.
