Programming key fob

Anybody know how? I got an extra one from a friend who found it. Its IDENTICAL to mine.

It may look identical but just make sure the numbers on the back of the new remote match the ones on your old remotes.

I ordered two new fobs for my moms Equinox off the internet and it took like 2 seconds to program them in the garage, why couldnt they make our cars like that.

Yeah, a lot of GM cars have a lock sequence you can DIY. I've tried every one out there and none of them work for the Cobalt. I have 2 that need reprogrammed.

I can program trucks and suv's in 10 seconds. Cobalts about 2 mins I win
