clicking while turning

clicking while turning

lately ive noticed that everytime i turn, usually only while moving slowly, its making a pretty good clicking noise, sounds like the tierods maybe? i think im going to take it to the dealer hopefully they will fix it since ive got different wheels and suspension.

Can you feel it in the steering or floorboards as well? There is a Bulletin for an improperly lubricated intermediate steering shaft. Many GM cars and trucks have this problem. Your dealer may have to order the part. I have 2 on order for customers now.

clicking during a turn can be a symptom of a bad cv joint as well. Take it in, maybe you have a split boot and damaged the joint.

my ss was doing the same thing it was the steering shaft after thay put the new one in i havent heard the noise again

alright cool, im just worried they will blame it on something like my bigger wheels or lowering springs, but ill mention that others had this problem too, it just started happening, thanks for the info!

I agree, probably a CV joint.

here is some pics of the intermediate shaft issue
the Ujoint gets bound at left lock and shifts laterally
the dealer has already replace both my axles and stabilizer links up front
still have to have them order this part
the part # is in the link as well

the dealer is fixing the steering issue problem even when your car is lowered?
