how do i remove the glove box?

there is a little rope thing with a clip, take the clip off the rope, and there should be like a hinge, i will look tommorow, i have done it before, but it was a while ago, i had to sun some wires behind it... i will post agin

pg 3-21 in the owners manual says: Tilt glove box down by squeezing on each side until door can be lowered from it's track. Lower the glove box door.... I guess that's where the cabin air filter is.... hope this helps !

we pretty much dismantled the entire dash so that it could be painted...so if that all you are going to do i would probably use the same technique as stated ^^^^
alli can say it be careful because a new one through GM is pretty expensive.

What version manual do you have? My manual doesn't cover the cabin air filter ANYWHERE.

Not really. It is $195 list price from GM. I manage a collision center and we put dashes in fairly often. That's pretty cheap compared to most.
