I wouldn't do that without a retune

Really, 79s and more meth, it's going to come down to your tune.

You should be able to push your tune a little further now and get some power out of it.

Haha, are you stalking me? So now your helpful? Whatever.

Anyways I expected everyone would shut down the 2.9 idea. It was just a thought.

But you basically didn't read anything I wrote. I was asking what kind of difference the 2.75, 79s, and meth would make (ball park). I was asking for meth kit recommendations. Also I am curious about tapping meth in the intake manifold as opposed to the cai.

Do you even have a TVS or know anything about it? If so, share.

Being a dick and whatnot is gonna get you no where with me.

Direct port of meth IMO is the best way to run it.

2.75 pulley with meth?

Go pick up a modified mag and read about the Cobalt in there with that.

He's on 80s rather than 79s though.

I have the Modifed Mag. And I know there are a couple of things missing in it. Area made his numbers with a 2.75 not a 2.9 pulley like published in the mag. But thats besides the point. I'm not going to be running race fuel so I'm just trying to gauge where these upgrade will put me based on my current mod list. I know the tune with effect the out come but I'm again just looking for ball park ideas.

I am modeling my build somewhat after his. Since his resulted in some solid results. And 79lb injectors, 80lb injectors... I think they are basically the same thing, some site just rate them differently but I could be wrong. Either way I'm just saying I will need to bump up to bigger injectors.

Why did you say "2.75 with meth?" That is indeed what I am asking about. Dude it's cool if you don't know anything more about the TVS. Just let some of the other guys chime in later.

But about the meth:

How difficult is it to do direct port meth injection? And what kit can support it?

Can anyone help me out and answer some of my questions?

the 79# and 80# injectors are not the same with a different rating, one is a pintle style injector(80#) and the other is a disc style injector(79#).

Which one is better?

And thanks for the correction. But You didn't answer any questions...I wasn't interested in the difference. Which I already stated.

i couldn't tell you which one is better, i'll leave that to the true pros on the sight, i have however heard the 80#ers flow significantly more than the 79#ers. on the other hand they are pintle style injectors so you have to worry about pintle bounce at idle...........allthough i have yet to hear that complaint with the 80#lbers. i have been running the 79lbers since early 2008 with no problems so far.

ZZP 3" dp
Hahn 3" cat back

I want to now swap out the 3.1 pulley for the 2.75, switch to 79lb injectors, and add meth injection. What kind of numbers can I expect from a change like this. And what meth kits or what variation of meth kits would you recommend?

Also is it possible/worth it to tap the intake manifold instead of the cai for meth to avoid spraying meth through the blower? Would this be better or worse?

Here are my numbers right now:

Also would it be possible to just slap on a 2.9 pulley to my current set up? Would the 60s be able to handle that and could I do it without a retune?

The numbers all depend on how aggressive you get with the tune and how much meth you are running.

I prefer devils own its what i ran on my car. A base kit can get the job done, fora more precise level of control there is the progressive kits.

It theoritcally should be better becuase it is after the blower discharging the hot air. Though i have yet to see conclusive testing i would believe it should work better.

You would be pushing the injectors a little harder than i would like to see. You would want to retune. More boost and same tune is never a good idea.

Its more or less preference some perfer disc while others pintle. 80's flow more.

there is nothing missing in there. when the article was done. i WAS on the 2.9.

79's and 80's have different flow numbers. thus not the same injectors.

my car doing 347/294 on e-85 running out of fuel at 6500.

99% of the tvs users do NOT spin their engines high enough to get the power out of them. they also do not tune aggressive enough, or completely **** the timing table

how high should the engine be spun to see desired results? and just out of curiosity, do you havenuetral balance shafts, or balance shaft delete kit, or none? cause you keep saying your motor is all stock accept you springs, but if you removed the balance shafts it could still be considered stock because its not an upgraded part... or do i just try and think to hard hahahaha

His motor is stock except for the 78LB valvesprings he is using. The thing about spinning the motor enough i'm not sure about

So your saying when I do my TVS build to get valvesprings to be able to spin the motor to most 7,500RPM's

the balance shafts are rated to 15k so 7500 is right on the edge. my exhaust is holding me back after 6700, but everyone who spins the engine more than me makes more power. i need to open my exhaust and then go for more rpms.

thanks area, ill do this soon and post up the results

Dont bash me for dumb question, but im assuming you need the smaller belt if pulleying down the TVS like the M62?

Yes you do. Stock belt is fine for the 80mm pulley but like the M62 will require a larger tensioner pulley or stage 2 belt.

I have a question.

What sort of HP results can people expect when they run a TVS and E85?
