He runs 50lb port injectors no need for a powell pcv system

This car will make to much boost for the powell setup anyways.

Check out radium engineering and get one of their catch cans. You will most definately be needing -10 possibly -12 an fittings for the breather system.

His pcv was put back to stock and the oil issue is gone.
The way it was setup doesn't work on these cars.

LIPSTICK is back!!!

Well, after several years, LIPSTICK is finally coming back!

Lots of changes since I received my car last year from BTF. After a few months, noticed lots of issues
- oil, fuel, boost leaks
- 4 bar map sensor used by manifold and 3 bar sensor on another....using 4 bar map tune! Wtf! No wonder the car never ran right.

So I went to Six Sigma tuning, owned & operated by Kevin Jewer. He is actually the one who inspired me to build a compound turbo.
He drag races his 7 sec compound dsm

So he took my car to fix all the issues, and run the compounds properly.

Last week, Here’s the initial dyno run for the 116 octane tune that produced 535hp & 480tq @ 39psi.

Here’s what my compound turbos (gt2860rs & gt4294r) are doing.

It spools 29psi at 3500rpm, but I think we can even bring it down to 3000rpm

Hopefully, with more boost (5-7psi) and extra 900rpm, it will make more. So we’ll see......

Recently, tuner Added 5psi, LIPSTICK is now at 560hp & 520tq. Very broad powerband now.
Previously, it was at 39psi, 535hp 480tq.

We are currently experiencing spark blowout even at .22gap. This is our current limitation and not even fuel!
We’ll try using copper plugs instead of iridium and do one more day of tuning. If that doesn’t help, we’ll wrap it up.

Here’s the dyno sheet: http://i65.tinypic.com/24xe5qb.jpg

Forgot to mention some of the updates last year.......I ditched the port injection kit! It caused a lot of boost and fuel leaks....and harder to tune with the ECM.

To make my already complicated turbo tuning....a bit easier, I removed the split sec and Port Injectors.

I bought a lingenfelter hpfp https://www.lingenfelter.com/product/L710156914.html

By upgrading into a higher flowing hpfp and paired it with Opel Injectors...............plus not using Ethanol and Methanol............the fuel system was able to flow enough fuel at these power levels.
Plus of course tuning the DI is now simpler instead of trying to use split sec controller to work with the ecm.

hello, I believe it’s a home-made 4 bar map that my previous builder did. The map sensor wasn’t even Plugged to the intake manifold. It was underneath it just dangling and only held by wires. It’s a web of fuckery.

so we just completely removed it, and installed a proper 3 bar map on the manifold.

I think my previous builder was trying to trick the ecm or something. But it obviously wasn’t working since the other map sensor was a 3 bar map. So I really don’t know what he was trying to achieve.

Welp...it’s a wrap.

Very first successful Saturn SKY Redline with compound turbos (gt2860rs & gt4294r turbos).

Produced 566whp & 520wtq

Boost transient response is excellent & provides wide power band.
Spools 20+ psi by 3000 rpm

Here’s a video of the dyno run

Surely can but Dyno operator is probably shutting down at first sign of HP drop. Absolutely no need to rev an engine on a dyno any further if you have hit your peak HP.

Compare that to how far the operator revved out this engine.

Hi Guys......

yeah there seems to be a choke point at 5800rpm where there's no power happening even if we increased the boost.

from 10 degree of timing...we add a degree......and it knocks

My tuner is moving out of state in a few weeks from NH to Ohio.
He bought a drag strip there that’s for sake & will be his primary business.

He doesn’t wana push the motor anymore and he is not comfortable. He doesn’t wana blow a head gasket or something since he will not have time to fix it, then I’ll be stuck again for years without driving the car

Plus, my supertech 78lb springs are not strong enough to prevent valve float which is probably one of the reasons why by 5800rpm, it’s no longer making power
He thinks I may need 100lb springs to handle 50psi or more & no valve float.
That will need custom springs which I don’t have any more money & time

Our valve float issue is not because of high RPM.....its because of the back pressure! We are running 42 psi....and back pressure is around 46 peak. That's a lot of force trying to push/keep the valves open. The fact that power doesnt rise with rpm though, really doesn't bode well.

604 whp x 18% rwd drivetrain loss = 713 crank hp is not bad at all

I wana get 800 crank hp, but oh well.

Time to enjoy my car and feel the wide powerband.......
