guys, as mentioned on one of my earliest posts, no dramas, fights, and hating on this thread please. If my sponsorship bothers you, pls dont read my thread. I am obligated to mention my sponsors, since it is one of my sponsorship agreements.
I am not a wealthy person, and can't afford to spend a lot of money on my car. I need all the sponsors I can get, to build my project.
I work day and night to get sponsors. I get REJECTED point blank and criticized by a lot of companies which hurts, but that doesn't stop me from applying. There are good and there are also bad in sponsorship. I have to do ALOT to fullfill my sponsorship contract, or else I'll end up getting sued by the companies that feel that I didn't do what I supposed to do...............or worst, I can go to jail.
so it's not all the glamour, there's a lot into sponsorship.
thank you for understanding and your cooperation.

On no, please don't take it the wrong way. We aren't hating at all. Jealous? Yea, I'd love to have sponsors.
I'm sure you have many obligations to these companies. I'm glad you are doing such an elaborate build.

I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea of what I was saying before, I was just urging people to get out there and try. It does take alot of work to get sponsorships, and even after getting them, the work to maintain your contract is insane. I only know about half of what Antonio has to do for his sponsorships, and I know he does it very well.
That said... when does the car go to SMG?

car has been at SMG since August 2010, since I can't drive it anymore due to grinding of 2nd gear. I was able to drive it for a month by skipping 2nd gear during my daily drive, but when the 1st gear started grinding, there's really no way around it. So I left it at SMG since then. SMG is pre-occupied with Project Scarab and other projects. I believe SMG will start on my car early Jan 2011.
that's why we'll try to cryo-treat the clutch system, and make sure those synchros and others are polished/shot-peened/cryo-treated. So they'll last longer.
I'm hoping that the clutch slave cylinder is the cause of the grinding, and nothing major.

ADDED to the BUILD:
After a few days of custumizations-discussions and sponsorship details, DSS and I came to an agreement......and they were able to customize a kit for Lipstick that will be used for most type of race applications.
DSS told me that the Kappa driveshaft is a very strong unit, and I should wait and see during my build. If necessary, they'll also customize me a carbon fiber driveshaft.
WERKS currently is a supplier of DSS axle kits.
few weeks later.......the kit arrived today
comparisson of the stock VS. DSS axle
All shafts will be dropped off to NITROFREEZE today for cryo-treatment
