Help Please! HID Installation

I recently picked up a set of ANZO USA Black stock style headlights and a Kensun 35w 6000k 9007 HID Kit (Bi-Xenon).

I've installed the new headlights and HID kit without issue, but when I first started the car up only one side lit up. The next day they were both working fine and I thought my problems were over. Then the next day the other side that had previously not lit up was working but the other side that previously WAS working was not. Then neither of them turned on. Then one side turned on but the other side didn't. I tried taking it all apart and double checking the wiring. I tried putting the relay harness on the passenger side instead of the driver side to see if that solved anything. It didn't. I also tried trading the ballasts but I still had the same issues.

Here are some pictures I took just now. I apologize for the messy wiring as I was in the process of redoing it all. It looks to me like all my connections are secure. Maybe you guys can see something I'm missing or perhaps offer some advice?

I appreciate any help.

Kind Regards,

Justin

P.S. the wires running on the left side and ride side of the engine bay are the grounds

Photo showing wires connected to positive terminal (Yes there are two wires going from the positive terminal to relay harness - a friend suggested it might help, clearly it didn't):

And finally just an overall view of everything (Sorry it is a mess):

Allot of balasts start doing that before they burn out if it's during the day it's because your daytime running lights operate at half voltage screwing with the balasts and causing them to burn out prematurely.

I notice your from Winnipeg you should hit up this page and introduce yourself.

You can pull your drl fuse to prevent this happening but just be sure to turn on your headlights during the day or you will get pulled over first time someone sees you with no daytime running lights.

Where is the DRL fuse located? I didn't see any fuse labeled DRL? In the spot where some pictures had it located there was an empty three-pronged spot.

Got the kit cus it was the best reviewed on amazon, ugh.

It seems newer models have a fuse labeled DRL Fuse but my 2006 does not? At least I can't find it.

One last edit: Another thread I found says I only need to remove a DRL Fuse if my car is 2007+ since I have an '06 I don't need to do anything?

Guess maybe it is an issue with the ballasts then?

Perhaps if it doesn't work tonight I'll call Kensun about a warranty

Oh I miss spoke.
I beleive on 06 or earlier the drl is just the amber lights not the headlight.
So that probably isn't the issue.

If both lights don't turn on try turning off the headlights and turning them back on again so it can let the ballast to fire them once the other one is warmed up.

To be clear. During the day when you start the car your headlights don't turn on correct? Not until it gets dark or you manually then them on?

Right now, during the day neither bulb is turning on. I try turning the light knob from on to off and they still don't fire up. Last night I was lucky enough to have one turn on, the night before neither turned on. Manually turning them on and off once the car is running doesn't seem to change anything.

I'll reconfirm this tonight when the sun goes down (few more hours)

I appreciate the ongoing help.

Neither turning on during the day makes sense. They should turn on when you manually do it though.
When you are trying to turn them off and on are you doing it while the car is in pArk or stopped in neutral with the ebrake on?
If not. manually turning off the lights at night won't do anything since they will not turn off if the car isn't parked.

I live in Charleswood. Not far from Oak Park High School.

Nothing I tried last night has worked. Neither light has been turning on lately.
