No pics for the FX-R but you'll cut where the original bulb hole is. You're just making a MUCH bigger hole in it's place. The size of the hole depends on how far back you want the projector to sit.
Here's some pics of my TL retro. Don't worry. You won't have to cut NEARLY as much as I did. TL's are huge.

Just the reflector bowl, the FX-R is NOWHERE near as big as the TL. I'm trying the FX-R next. You should just be able to use a hole saw.

Im skipping right over the FX-Rs and going to RX350BX's for V2.0

I think Im also gonna build a set of Gen1s with Valeo H7 projectors in place of the craptastic chinese H1s they come with.

See I was considering the 350s as well. Not sure which one I want. I'm hoping after trying this one I'll be up to the task of TLs. I wanna do it just too scared for now.

I won't do another Single xenon retrofit again. It was a learning experience and it was frustrating but I figure IF I get lucky picking up another set of premo projectors, I'm going to confirm they are bi-xenon before I pour time and money into them.

btw Maven, they look good but I'm a bit baffled as to why silver on black?

I was kinda wondering why you went with halogen single xenons, but I understand that it was a cost cutting program. I'd recommend trying to pick up either a used set of FX-Rs or FX-35s on hid planet, usually plenty of used stuff for sale on there. Definitely nice having hid highs.

and he did silver because everyone does black. Silver looks oem without being chrome.
