I'm looking to get a slip on adapter made so I can put an aftermarket shift knob on my SS. I tried to get a measurement of the diameter of the shifter rod today but I couldn't get my reverse lockout assembly apart to get to the shifter rod underneath it to get a measurement. I'm hesitant to take off my shift knob in fear of breaking it and not having a shift knob on my car because it's my DD.

Does anyone have the diameter of the shift rod of the SS/SC? I don't know if it makes a difference but I have the OEM STS as well. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get as this has been a large pain in my ass trying to get this sorted out lol.
