New SS/T dyno #'s?

What I am REALLY anxious to see is if someone takes their box stock SS/T to a dyno on the same day along with someone else's bone stock SS/SC.

I want to see how a "205hp" SS/SC compares to the 260hp SS/T.

Thoughts peeps?

My thoughts?
The same power as what the GXP's were doing.... 230-240WHP. And that was on a RWD system...

Cool.

What I was thinking is that we could get a more accurate hp number on our SS/SC's if it was dynoed against an SS/T on the same exact day, same dyno, same testers.

My guess is they will put down around 240 to the wheels. I don't think the LNF is underrated the way the LSJ was.

i don't remember hearing anything about the sky's or solstice being under rated but we can only hope the lnf is packing more of a punch than gm is admitting to.

The only way to do it is to have a ss/sc and TC at the same dyno , one after the other.

There should be no reason a ss/sc with GM stage 2 should not hang with a completly stock ss/tc cause gm stage 2 kit makes the ss/sc 245 plus intake and cat back and a couple other mods the ss/sc should be hanging with it no problem

There is a ion redline owner on here (TMRRedline) that has stage 2 and full bolt ons (K&N Intake, 3in ZZP Cat-less downpipe, 2.5in Magnaflow cat-back). He was dead even with Delta2.2's ss/tc.

Remember, his ss/tc hasn't reached the 1500mi break in point, and it was still running 14psi, at 1500mi it will jump up to 18-19psi.

To be fair, he said his clutch was slipping a little after the races.

EXACTLY!

I'd love to see a 3 car one day dyno test:
  • a box stock SS/SC
  • a box stock SS/T
  • a Stage 2 SS/SC (no bolt on's)

So it goes to show you that guys with 60s and 2.6 or 2.7 will be beating the stock ss/tc by half car to a car when its fully broken in. But once the turbo kits come avaliable a good one for the ss/sc they will be walking all over the ss/tc stock that is. Now with the TVS supercharger aint going there if that thing performs as its suppose to the ss/tc guys are gunna have to do some serious mods to keep up with the ss/sc tvs balts

But once the turbo kits come out for the ss/tc it will walk all up and down the turbo'd ss/sc...

We could go on and on.

Actually referencing another thread:

With just a 3" exhaust, a cat delete and a tune, the LNF makes 330whp and 425wtq, soooo...

Listen, for the record ... I'm not against the SS/T.

Not at all.

But I got a $2500 rebate on my SS/SC, which is too good a deal to let it go for a list price SS/T.

So as far as I'm concerned, I've got AT LEAST $2500 to spend on my car before I would even consider purchasing an SS/T.

And that's a chunk of change!

Are you going to go into every LNF thread and post that same thing?
As I said before... there was a bit more done to that GXP than your mentioning...

And again... the LNF and LSJ have the same insides... therefore the same limitations...
So turbo kit's or not, they are pretty close to par....

No, that is exactly everything that was done to the powertrain on that particular car. And again, they are not the same internals. Pistons, rods, and oil squirters.

idk where you got your numbers from but that seems really far fetched. i dont see anyone gaining 70whp, and 150+ wtq from just exhaust and a tune. not when the car only comes with 260 hp stock

How about some real world numbers from regular Sky/Solstice owners with those same mods? I guarantee they're nowhere near that.

I am forced to agree with skymynx.

The only way someone is going to get that much additional hp is if in their "tune", they raised the boost considerably.

Otherwise:
  • Free Flowing Exhaust: 10-15 hp
  • Tune: 10 hp

That's 20-25 hp total.

Can't imagine then where the other 50 hp came from.

(an extra 8-10lbs of boost would do it)
