Hey CoolCobalt, I'm Ryan and I'm from Brooklyn, NY. 21 years old, college student and possibly(probably) getting a 'balt SS (still have some pro's and con's lists to do once it comes out).

Hope when everyone gets there Cobalts we can really turn this site, especially the large amount of North Easterners into a close community...have some meets, come together to share info and help one another out.

I live in the same area as JonelZ I've always wanted to go to NYC. Ive gotta do that someday! My friends were there a couple times and were on TRL and everything :rolleyes: they're such groupies!..but thats a whole other story lol

Not to sound full of myself, but there really is no better city than NYC. You've got everything close by (beaches, huge parks, tons of stores, tons of places to eat, tons of everything you want), I highly recommend coming here...and don't just do the tourist thing of only going to Time Square, the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty...we have 5 boroughs here, not just Manhattan, and almost everyone I know has never been to the Statue of Liberty.

Boston and Philly are awesome and my g/f says Rome is very similar but for me it's all about NY (even if 99% of the people suck sometimes).

Hope when everyone gets there Cobalts we can really turn this site, especially the large amount of North Easterners into a close community...have some meets, come together to share info and help one another out.

Hey guys. I'm from Edinboro, PA which is in NWPA. I'll be picking up my ultra silver Cobalt this Monday. The car's been mine for over a week but I'm in a wheelchair so had to wait for new hand controls to come in and get installed. I'm definitely excited and can't wait to drive it! :nuts:

NYC is a zoo and there is no place to even park our cara. Space is expensive and hard to get a hold off. Anyhow I would recommend rural MD, Eastern PA, Upstate NY (adirondacks have some cool ass roads). Plus lodging has got to cost a couple bucks more than more out of the way places.

Yeah, I totally agree nyc would be terrible to have a cobalt meet...earlier i suggested that we should go to E-town in jersey...seems perfect for us: close to everyone in the tri-state/big place for car guys/ and they have a drag strip! so we can lay down some numbers for our 'balts. :-D

another cool place might be bear mountain, NY. some amazing twisty roads up there, a lodge, and beautiful scenery

Anyways I'm 18 yrs old, Senior in high school, currently drive a 2000 Cavalier Coupe. I have a crappy part time job, but hope to get a better one in the near future so I can afford to get a Cobalt SS Supercharged :D

(Cause my Beretta had it and also I had told my dealer I'd trade it in and I dont want to ruin any of the agreements that me and him have made..I'm not to sure what effects itis would have!. BUT IF I CAN SELL IT ................ FOR WHAT I PAID FOR IT 3 YEARS AGO.... $500.00 <=needed a car real bad at the time! I'll do it!

I have put money into it... It need a windsheild, tires, both CV joints or axles need to be changed Syncros on the Trany are basicly gone.. AND NO IT DOES NOT POP OUT OF GEAR it's just a pain in the ass to get it into first gear sometime!... And the interior is hurting! The liner up top is falling down and it's ripped

Now, what I have done to it.... I WILL SAY, THE ENGINE RUNS REAL GOOD, STRONG AND THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR IS IN REEEAAALLL GOOD SHAPE FOR THE AMOUNT OF MILES ON IT... 148, + mi. on it.. I bought it when it had 126,+ . I have this now for 3 years.
Ok this is what I have done!.... New master and slave cyl. on the Hydro clutch, Front and back suspension, new o-ring where the distributer gear shaft or what ever it's called... It's new, Tune up ---plugs wires, O2sens., Map Sens, Coil packs where done over a year ago.. (so basicaly they are still new) FUEL FILTER CAN BE CHANGED, Exu.-->from Dounut seal all the way back a bit over a year. Deep sound to it.. I was running rich at one point, I think that may have gutted some of the cat or something.. lol , New heater core, Radiator is a year and half old, Radiator cap new... Open cone air filter from Auto Zone... HEY IT WORKS AND SOUND GOOD I know it's not a KnN.

Thats all I can think about.. I figured you would ask.. So there you go.. Get in touch with me if you are serious and can come and take this thing... I cant take it anymore... A MACHANIC WOULD LOVE IT.. COUSE THEY WOULD PROBABLY HAVE RUNNING LIKE NEW IN NO TIME..

Inhale - check out gmbuypower.com and you can search to see if their are any SS's in your area. I doubt it though, I regularly stalk my local chevy dealers and all don't expect to take delivery until the late spring. :(

Hello , Im in Central Valley NY .Lived in Yonkers as a kid on Carrol ave right off Broadway,also on the corner of Riverdale and Valentine. And I'm the guy who was checkin out your cobalt in front of the dunkin doughnuts Coolcobalt,so we have met already.(I almost yanked him outa the car to get a better look LOL)I picked up a base coupe on saturday nothing fancy, arrival blue ,auto .Gotta get some better rims and tires and maybe some springs to lower an inch,other than that I love it 300 miles in 2 days.glad its not a lease. :nuts:
