Do you have a product for dressing engine bays that doesnt require every hose to be dressed with a rag? Mainly I am looking for something that i can spray the engine bay down with and they wipe up any residue, puddles, etc...Adam's polishes used to have an aerosol called in-and-out but it was removed because it wasnt VOC compliant

There are all sorts of stuff out there. If you look in my pics there is some tstuff I use for tires and engine. But we get it here at the dealership I dont know if they sell it outside. its an aresol

basically i want something i can spray on and not have to wipe it off to really get into some tighter spaces in the bay

I've thought about just using the spray I use on my tires since all of my engine is covered by those plastic pieces but have been kind of wary of doing so.

turbotech i bet your tire shine wiped on and buffed off would do a really good job actually. (just rebottle it as engine dress up haha)

Please accept my apologies, today was one of those days that I completely misunderstood your post, it seems that we have seen more and more people trying to put our products down for whatever reason, my post do not represent how I do conduct myself, not to make any excuses, I was wrong, again my apologies, right before I made the post I was not certain if your question was indeed legit or someone trying to create trouble for us, Now I see that it was the first one.

We do not have that particular product, the main reason is that we haven't been able to come up with something that you could spray on and just walk away without wiping the residue, we usually use our L.V.R. Leather, vinyl and rubber product for all of those plastic parts under the hood, it works great, however it is indeed a little work, the results are very nice but is not a spray and walk away.

I hope you understand and I extend my apologies to all of you that visit our section often.

Now that bug/oxidation remover it is indeed an awesome product, it doesn't get any easier to use, I'm not sure if anyone from the forum has use it yet ? if so perhaps they can chime in. that block, pre wax and wax and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

no problem, last time I use it on one of my cars a 96 explorer it never occur to me to take pictures and do a write up, after I was done I was amaze that just with the block alone the paint had come alive again, I will do one product review on it soon with a old trunk or something

no problems at all totally cool :twothumbs..yeah i saw it in a how to video they had on their site but they dont sell it anymore and was curious if anyone else had a similar product...also for the one product i posted above the invisible wheel well stuff... I am assuming its probably some sort of plastic/rubber protectant or tire shine...your thoughts

also i get almost specs of rust on my car they are orange like rust and bleed rust color the slightest bit...dont ask for pics because they wont show up...would the bug remover block get those off like clay does

I see what you mean now, unfortunately I have never use that product so I cannot comment, however general speaking, I have never seen a product that you can simply "spray on" and walk away without wiping the excessive residue, pretty much like all of those products for the tires which I'm sure you have use one of them, after you spray on the tire all the product runs down.

I'm sure that the reason to have it on a sprayer is to reach hard to get places, but I don't see how just spraying it will leave you an even layer of product without wiping it, but that is just my opinion. (the product description don't say "spray and walk away)

Our LVR or Tire Gel will work, those products are very thick for the sprayers so you will have to apply them by hand, we don't have such of product and honestly I don't see us making one, spraying the tire wheel is just a "ban-aid" to really do that job "properly" you must remove the tires to really clean the entire area after the area is clean, dress them and since you are there clean the back side of the wheels, that is how we use to do it years back, we used to do it one time every month, today we just clean them from the outside and apply LVR the same goes for all the plastic on the engine bay.

good point...like i said mainly i am looking for something to dress some hoses/wire looms that i cant get my hand to but are still visibile...i am going to try some spray tire shine i have floating around and see how it does in those areas, and i will post results for you

If it helps at all, I use the Turbo Wax L.V.R to dress my engine bay, plastic and rubber hoses and plastic components. Leaves it a nice subtle shine, without the horrible synthetic shine you get with silicon type products. Hehe, must have been okay, last show, as I won 3 prizes, up against some really stiff competition. ;) I use a nice soft cloth to apply the product, or a very long handled soft paint brush to apply those bits that are almost impossible to reach.

If you're doing a show, or just for you so you know it looks nice, one thing I always score points on, is waxing the inside of the bonnet and around the engine bay, it creates more reflections, makes the hoses etc look every shinier when the bonnet/hood is up. :) :D

I find a lot of the normal car grooming brushes to big and clumsy, so one of my favoured tools for reaching those really awkward places, the old paintbrush, I'm talking like artists paintbrushes, :lol: the really fine ones with handles that are about 20-30cms long, that the head is only about 1cm across and has really soft hair bristles. I find it works well. I also use really soft paint brushes for getting in between panels when doing general cleaning on the outside of the car.
