I just moved down from the Seattle area. Right now I am in a temporary apartment for the next month or so in Scottsdale. Once I get in a permanent place in a month or two, I'll be ready to do stuff with everyone.

I just need a house so I can wash the car myself. After driving down from Wa. in late November it looks like crap. I've taken it to two car washes, and they were OK, but not great. It'll be nice when I get my own place with a garage again, so I can wash, wax and clean the inside properly.

hey gonzo! bout time you got on here. How long have you had your ss, cause I think I saw you about a month before I got mine too.

I need somebody to help me out with something, if possible swap 2 complete rims and tires with someone for a weekend coming up. All it would take is to meet up, swap 2 rims with the tires and then after I am done meet up again to swap them back. I do not plan on doing anything destructive with them, I just need to barrow them and I will treat them like I am driving on gold rubber. Let me know, I would be able to accommodate the individuals schedule as best as possible to get this done, when ever they would have time.

uhm....was it a white one? i don't usually drive baseline anymore. i used to live in galleria palms which is by az mills, but since i moved to chandler i havent used baseline a lot. usually only to get to school. but yeah, mine's white.

Wow thats crazy because as a matter of fact I did get mine at thorobred chevy! I love it! I just got back from tucson and got 31 mpg!

yeah it's kinda out in BFE...but its a very nice community and im not too far from DT Phoenix...and my sister. So its not too bad. As for the snakes....Ill let my doberman or my 12 guage take care of them;)

Im excited to be a member of the forums and to finally drive the best Sport Compact car ever from GM, and I'll be looking forward to modding my car and posting everying done to it step by step no matter how long it takes.

Nice to have you on the boards. I've also been to Vivid many times, and I can say it's a great shop. The mechanics are all young, but do very good work. Their dyno is a awd Mustang dyno as well, which is nice. I wouldnt bother dynoing it while it's stock though dude. Right now I can tell you what it'll make. On that dyno you'll put down about 185-190 whp and 170-180 tq.

Whats up guys...I just traided in my '01 Z-24 for my new '06 Blue SS/SC yesterday. Can't wait till its broken in so i can take it to the track and dyno it.

There's an offroad Go-kart shop there called Roy's, thats our family's shop. Stop in some time. I drive an 06 LS.

I just moved down here from Alaska actually... drove my baby down here too. (although I only got it about 2 weeks before I left.) I was stuck in the Army up there but Im all done with that bs now, thank god. I'm staying out in Tolleson for right now. Got the '06 Cobalt SS/Sup Black... and i must say that I love it to death. I'm in serious need of window tinting though... prolly gonna do it next weekend. Anyways, glad to see so many other lovers of this wonderful car... every time i get into mine i think of something else to do to it, lol. Anyways... we need to work something out so everyone can meet up or some shit... roll out like a train... haha. Word.

where are you getting it done at and what are they charging you? ive only had mine since mid-april but this arizona sun turns my black car into a frying pan. i seriously need to get mine done. do you know of a good shop around here too? i can honestly say that im kinda new to the aftermarket department when it comes to these kinda cars. im looking to do alooooot of work but i need some people to gimme some pointers, ya know. also... a good mechanic to do the work.

No problem. I get their "lifetime" non metallic tint. I'm gonna have them do 35% (the darkest legally) and 20% in the back. All our other vehicles have been 35% up front and limo in back, but the limo is just too dark at night.

yeah... i hear that man. my buddy has limo on the back and sides... and the front one done 50% on the whole window. He can barely see sometimes... not worth it at all. Im almost thinkin about going for that same thing as far as the tint too. Im lookin into a few performance mods and then im gonna go for looks for a lil while im thinkin. We will see. :)

I don't consider tint a mod, it's a necessity here.

Yeah that sounds like the service department. You should ask them to give you a rental bc you need your car to drive to work. I mean it could be faster than the whole day but don't count on it if they said to drop if off all day. Like I said get them to give you a rental. Enterprise is right in the dealership.

I don't do turning much with my cobalt, I'm a born drag racer, but the LSD helps when going around those off ramps on the freeway at 100 mph ;)

Looks like I just missed it, I was still in Jersey then. Just moved out here a week ago, out in Gilbert and looking to do anything. Just got a 2.2 and looking to have some fun with it. I'll be driving around the chandler, mesa, gilbert area; if you see a black 2.2LT coupe that'll be me(even though there might be others with it lol)

holy mother of ........damn that is freaking hot, is there any special coolant or anything you need to change with the fans for the cars? Is it necessary to even get something different for your car?

NA! Mine runs 178-185 all day long, the cooling system in these cars is insane, specially with an alluminum block!

oh alright good to know, I was looking at that information center thing and I saw the coolant was at 205, I assume that would be okay, I'll check the Manual just in case.

Oh you need to go to the dealer RIGHT NOW!!! Jk, Mine gets up to 227 sometimes when stopped with the a/c off. Its normal don't worry about it ;)
