hmmm.... I am wondering if my 2nd syncro is not getting tired. I doesn't grind, but I am wondering if it may not be part of the reason I have a hard time getting it to shift into second?

check ebay. It is the same tranny in the 2.2 cobalt. I always find some on ebay pretty cheap a lot of times with low miles.

here's one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MANUA...spagenameZWD1V

it only has 2 miles on it. good luck

Those pictures are awsome! Looks like someone has a yard full of cars that they picked up from a transport vehicle comming lose or going upside down. Four Cobalts all with the same roof damage!

you could always pick up one off a junker and have the gears cryo treated and put a better clutch on it
