http://videos.streetfire.net/player....B-2BDAFF7507A7

I had my Injen Cold Air Intake installed today by my dealer. I have an 06 SS with a 2.5 magnaflow exaust as well. I really didnt give it any time to settle in, but I did not throw a CEL period, and have been driving it pretty hard for the last few hours as you will see.

Car with New Injen intake installed

Stock intake 2

here are some vids, they may not be yet available due to the streetfire optimization.

Sweet i cant wait to here the magnaflow. Why did you have your dealer do it? Why didnt you just do it yourself. Its not going to be covered under warranty.

True, but at the same time I figure if I let the dealer do it, if anything goes wrong the cant say it was installed incorrectly because THEY INSTALLED IT. The only thing an intake could really cause to go wrong would be sucking up dirt or water into the engine. Whats amazing if you look at the stock intake, it practically is a CAI. it sucks air through the hole on the side, and goes into the filter and then into the engine, the only difference between a cold air intake is that the filters on the end. I dont think they can prove an Injen intake sucked in dirt, since the filter is suppose to be more efficient then a stock filter. the only thing I have to watch out for is water. If we get heavy rain I aint driving.

I had an SE-R and I was having cylinder miss fire. They blamed that **** on my intake. They where like well we dont usually do anything with modified vehicles. I flipped. The problem occured after they changed my oil. No matter how much I agued that they would not do anything because the only time it misfired was high RPM. Well guess what? 3000 Miles later the next time I got my oilchange problem was gone..... ******* know nothing panzee's. Just so no one buys from them it was "Sheridan Nissan" Here in Delaware.

Anyway thats one of the reasons I got rid of the car. Had extended warranty and everything.

I'm getting my crap installed by the dealer for the same reason as you. I just ordered my K&N today and i'm hoping that my dealership could install it as soon as I get it. I already asked one of the managers of the stuff I was going to get and going to need to get installed. He said he'd do it all. I know it will probably be a bit more than if I got it installed somewhere else, but out of all the people, the dealership should know what they are doing. And if not, I'll just bring it back to them.

exactly. I took them 4 hours so they say, they followed the directions and took off my bumper, probably didnt need too.

It costed me 200 bucks.... Thats alot but it was christmas money so I was like screw it. I installed the one on my SE-R, took me like an hour, but they called that at my dealership cause you could tell I took a few shortcuts. Wont go through that again.

Damn it, all the video's say they are currupted.

I think it would be easier to just add all the videos into one. So instead of having 6 videos I can have just 1 big one, what do you guys/gals suggest I use to join 6 videos into 1?

DOH!

Use Windows Movie Maker.

Its simple.

The file size may be large, but streetfire optimizes your videos for you and makes them downloaded with alright quality.

Can't wait. Hey how does the increase in power feel? Does the intake and exhaust make it feel much faster than stock?

Ive had the exaust for so long I dont even remember what the car felt like without it. the intake seems to be getting more and more powerful as I drive. I think the computers still trying to adjust to it. So I will give me impressions soon, once I feel its recognized properly.

It sounds bad ass, and just for that was worth it IMO.

Windows Movie maker sucks ***** (or does on the computers I am trying to use it on).

Anyone suggest another movie maker that I can download to use? Free or not free, just give me a name

I aint gonna buy the ****, IM gonna obtain it another way, yea thats it a secret way that 99% of the people the use the computer get there movies/music/software/games etc. I cant quite say how, but I guess you can figure it out.

Will adobe premier do the trick?

heres I tried. I tried using the original version of Movie Maker that came with XP. It does not give you the option to add things like I want. I wanted to add titles and ****, and it dont give you those options. SO I then tried on my SP2 computer using movie maker 2.1. it had all the options but that computers so slow and had codec issues, it kept freakin up so I decided, well lets copy the movie maker folder from this computer to my good computer. did that program loaded up fine and I built exactly what I wanted looked great. Tried to save the movie and got a big fat stupid error message. GOD DAMNIT!

anyway step two is to try another movie maker

havent had the chance to obtain adobe yet, so I just used the cheapo version of Movie maker from reg XP and pieced all the movies together and saved it as one big WMV. Only thing i was able to do is give the description of each movie so it looks like one big one.

First is just me reving in front of my house, wont hear much of the supercharger cause when in N your not making boost.

second I believe is my brothers 04 redline just going down.

third is me doing the same thing as my bro in my 06 cobalt SS

4th is us going together down the road so you can hear double whine

5th and 6th are me and my friend in the car just checking the whine from the inside.

Especially the dealer. $200 you could have spent on another mod. Your taking the fun out of working on your car by not installing your own mods. An intake is probably the easiest mod to do on any car. Oh well. Awesome video by the way.. the car sounds awesome

Intake

Will adding a Cold Air Intake void the warrenty on the cars? So, what is the best intake to buy for the Cobalt SS and how much power will it add to it?

It will only void the waranty on the intake system of the car, so chances are if your MAF goes you gotta pay for it, but if your tranny dropped or you poped a head gasket you are still covered.

I say an intake is an intake. I would look for one by a name you like and at the price you like. I personally went with the Injen because I had one in my sentra and loved it and also because of this MR technology the talk of (the worlds first tuned intake) I didnt pull a cell since I got my car back, so I say IM doing fine, and maybe because of the MR tech. All in all tho its up to you man. If Injen wasnt out I would ahve probably went with the K&N.

See my RACE vids in a second, once I get them uploaded.

save your money and install it yourself. You should not have to take off the bumper. I took it apart and can do it without the bumper off.
