Wow, now i'm impressed. What a difference! The car pulls strong, I have never been in a car that pulls that strong before. It cost me 275 for the install. Tonight when I was going on the on ramp, i was in second gear at 110 k/h, and the tires broke loose. I had the gf with me and I couldn't believe it. Any comments, feel free to leave em' (positive ones tho)..lol

Gonna put my zex plugs in tomorrow night!!

Sweet man, it really wakes these cars up. It even made my exhaust sound deeper, not so raspy. I love it

When i got my stage 2 on a mounth ago. I was so blown away by the difference i thought the dealer put a 100 shot of nos on my car also ! LOL  I was really surprised at the power difference! Congrats Man !

Biggest thing I liked was the power gain in the midrange. Run a stock SS S/C and you'll see the difference. Between 3k and 6k it pulls much harder, power levels off after that but it's still quite a bit higher than stock. That kind of power gain for about $800 installed ain't that bad of a deal.

As he said, hp planes off right at 6k, and tq really starts to fall JUST before that. Glad you're pleased with your new setup:).

Not being a smart ass or anything but why did you buy GM stage 2 when your getting a tune and running a 2.85 pulley?

I've had her for almost exactly three months now (wow, that went quick) and my goal is to buy it by the beginning of May and have it installed by the end of May. Maybe after next paycheck...?

There are a few of us in Atlantic Canada that are splitting a day of tuning, I am going to be having my car tuned for the 60lb injectors that I have, the other 2 are just having some tweaks done to the stage 2 tune, mostly just to clean up the a/f a bit better and remove tq mgmt, and to help with the knock we get running the crappy 91 Octane fuel, not a full blown custom tune.

Its like $540/day plus credits for the whole day...the tuner said that he would work from 9am-9pm tuning us, 12 hrs should be enough time to get us all tuned

It probably wont take that long, it will take the longest for you man, but once he tunes one of us stage 2 guys, the other one will be pretty quick. I cant wait, hopefully the weather will be decent.

just a quick question what is the difference between the gm satge 2 and nates??? I thought that nate only did the pulley? I'm only asking this cause I'm at work and the stupid military won't let me check out his site cause its blocked here, and I really want to know what the difference is before I order one, and which you all would suggest I get.

I make both individual pulleys to fit the Stage 2 hub and complete modular systems which include a stainless steel hub, billet aluminum pulley, and stainless hardware. The total weight of my system is quite a bit lighter because the pulley has different dimensions and the hub is substantially smaller.

If your car is currently stock I wouldn't suggest going any smaller than 3.1, then upgrading (smaller pulley) in the future as you install more modifications.

ok I'm a little confused right now, so do I have to get the stage 2 kit from gm then just replace the pulleys that you make or do you make a stage 2 kit like GM sorry I'm just trying to make sure I get the best deal and the most HP. by the way check my signature to see my mods, can you tell me what size pulley in your opinion you think I should go with, thanks

Let me see if I can help ya, he makes a pulley that can be put onto the stage 2 hub that is included with the GM stage 2 kit. He also makes a thing called a modular pulley system, known as a MPS. This is a hub that goes onto your supercharger (like the one made by GM but I think it has 5 bolts for the pulley oppsed to 4) So he sells both pulleys that fit the GM stage 2 hub and he also sells his own hub that fits his other pulleys. He does not make an entire stage 2 kit, just pulleys that will fit the GM hub and his own speical kind. Hope that was of some help!

Also, your not gonna want to go to a smaller pulley without upgrading your injectors to 42LBers or higher. I run a 2.9 pulley on my 42LBers and it is pushing it the limit.

To the OP congrats on your new found power, be safe and try not to burn up your tires too fast!

if your going to get a 2.9 pulley you might just want to put together your own kit. get like 60lb injectors with a 2.8, stg 2 belt and tune.

youll regret it

I have run 4 different sets of plugs all at different gaps (0.040, 0.035, 0.032, 0.045) they were all copper NGK BKR7E's. Then I switched to the ZEX plugs, and found they were much better than the previous plugs I ran. I have had the Zex plugs in the car for over a year with no issues at all! I love them, in fact I just got a new set to replace the year old ones I have in now. (FYI I was running stage 2 with smaller 2.8" pulley...wont garantee same results with stock or mildly modded SS/SC)
