ABS light comes on after changing Rotors and pads

Put on my new EBC rotors and green stuff pads on... now after driving a few miles when I stop at a red light the abs engages then goes off and the ABS Light turns on... Restart the car and it goes away, then comes back..

WHat's the deal-e-o? Think a sensor went out?

when you start the car the ABS goes through a self prove out where the ECM tests the system if a problem is found the ABS light comes on to let you know the ABS has found a problem and instead of making a wrong decision it will make no decision and so the ABS wont work. It could be anything with the ABS system a scan tool will tell you what code has been thrown.

Check to make sure connectors to sensors are connected good. And they are clean. Maybe there is something that got in the way.

Yeah I checked both the fronts. I took the hub off to replace a wheel stud while i had the rotors off so I thought the driver side was bad, but they both felt connected and clean. Time to put the stock rotors back on and go to the dealer?

I have the EBC rotors on the front. No problems.

You might have damaged or displaced the sensor removing the hub.

Did you bleed them before going for a drive? I know when installing my new rotors and pads last week I only had the ((ABS)) light come on while in was in the garage pumping the brakes to get the air outta the lines.

It does seem to have some soft spots in the pedal. Not sure how it would have gotten too much air in them, but I will try bleeding the air out of them. Other than the pedal they drive great.

Yeah, you really shouldnt have any soft spots in the pedal. Now my brakes did take a few days to bite really well like the stockers but I didnt have soft spots in the pedal.

Also, once you the your pedal issue fixed be sure to go out and do some hard stops from various speeds as to wear your brakes in.

would that cause the ABS to randomly kick on then throw the light on though?

I guess soft spots in the pedal could cause a light (Im not 100% sure)...I mean its not safe and usually means somethings up if your pedal is soft.

Figured it out... the Wheel Speed Sensor is placed right by the hub. When i took the hub off to replace that wheel stud, i pulled on that sensor. The wiring to that sensor is like placement tight, meaning there is no slack in the wires. I stripped the sensor and thats why it's going off. One side is moving, the other is not and the computer thinks the car is sliding when braking, so abs kicks in.

Resoldered the connections after taking it apart and adding a little bit of wires and no more light.
