Autocross and SS/TC

What class would the SS/TC run in? Can it run in factory spec?

I thought it came with a beefed up steering rack/knuckles? And yes stock class.

The SS TC SHOULD be classes the same as the SS SC... D-stock in SCCA rules..
THere is no word from above just yet, but all indications are that it will remain there.

The upgraded knuckles are standard on the new cars, and as such are completely 100% stock class legal.

If GM would've taken off the "competitive upgrade" tag on those, we could've had them for our cars for "safety" and been ok.

I was being sarcastic about the knuckles, are you sure they are putting the comp knuckles on the new cars? I could see the new TCSS going to a class higher since the new car is supposed to be alot more powerfull and handle better.

I don't believe that it will be that much more powerful then SS/SC, I'm quite new here but doesn't the SS/SC throw ~210 to the wheels stock? The SS/TC is 260 to the crank, I'd say ~220-230 (too conservative??) to the wheels.

Well, the new SS according to what's been written on it ( Including the reviews on this site ) have stated taht the new knuckles are on there... we'll have to wait and see about part #s when they arrive.

The MS3, SRT/4 Caliber, and the SS are all staying put in D-stock or the time being... that said, if after nats this year someone comes with those cars and cleans house in DS, then there might be changes for 2009...
Seeing as all 3 cars are way too heavy, overpowerd FWD cars I can't see them making a serious stock class threat to the Integra TRs, VW R32s, and the other cars that trophied there in 07

We had a TT ( ALMS edition ) take 2nd... and an ACR SRT4 NEON take 3rd and then a mix of other ITRs BMW 3 series and a few others take them...

I'd love to see some more SSs and the MS3 show at nationals this year... I was the ONLY SS there..

Yes, JT in the TT is quite a driver. He and I have talked quite a bit over the past year since we were both solo nats rookies...
I sat with the crazy Canadians at the bandquet and that was a blast.

The new R32 is a bit heavier and most hate the DSG in it. I drove one on the street and I liked it, but on course might be different.

The old R32 was lighter, a and a stick. We have a guy locally running a DS R32 and he takes PAX wins over some BSP, SM, AS, and CS cars... all but the SM cars that run with us have tropied at nats in the past two years

I'm driving that R32 @ the Toledo Pro Solo in July, so I'll have something to write about the R32 from personal experience then.
