well like the title says, i am wanting to get a lower grill for my 2006 ss/sc. i would perfer a plastic one like the upper. i was also thinking of using the wire mesh stuff some people use. if i do that, how would i mount it?

mounting is easy. there are 2 tabs on top of the hole in the bumper and 4 along the bottom. you bend the mesh like a z (kinda, except you want 90 degree angles) and there ya go
