You know putting "no jokes" in your post just will increase the amount of jokes

You need a low ISO (like 80) and a tripod or flat surface to put the camera on. No flash, and 2 second timer so the camera doesn't move when you hit the shutter and blur the image. And that's just for beginners.

You need to adjust your WB and go from there

because i never touch it i always leave it on auto i've never messed with it. And I don't have a RAW editor so thats why I didn't shoot RAW other wise I would have.

If you adjusted the photo in photoshop then you DO have a RAW editor, and not ever setting custom WB's makes you a n00b to photography...

PS RAW editor > Canon RAW editor... You may need to go to Adobe.com and DL the latest CameraRAW file for which ever version of photoshop you have

Just telling you how I usually go about taking night shots. I don't have an expensive D-SLR, just a rather cheap Canon Point and Shoot. (Powershot 560). Here's one of my shots straight off my SD card, no image editing.

With more lighting, those would have been much better shots. But they still came out decent IMO.

I edited my last post.. but like I said, it has a LOT to do with the lighting. I did the best I could with the lighting I had. I may go to a parking garage sometime this week, maybe when I do my little 5 speed video. Tons of light there, I should be able to capture some impressive shots that are bright and not as dark.

Also depends how bright you want your images.. are you looking for something like this:

or even brighter? I found that the best time of day to take pics is at sunset.. perfect lighting.

yes i know. That's why I parked under a street light, and had a 30 second exposure which actually wasn't long enough. But I didn't bring my cable release so there was nothing I can do. And I also would have shot RAW. And thanks REIGN SS, but now where do I put the file?

I just adjust levels to the brightest I can with every pic i take without washing it out or giving it a under exposed look or whatever. You know what I mean? Take a look at my site. http://hyperactive122986.deviantart.com/
