Take a video of your driving styles so we can analyze just exactly how the clutch(es) failed.

Let me not be a dick you you like everyone else has, the reason you have not found any post on this is because it doesnt happen. HE said not again because there is always kids on here that dont know how to drive messing there clutches up.

Ok the reason both your clutches failed is because you do not know how to drive, i know pleany of people including myself who are heavily modded running on stock clutch for over 40k miles and no i dont think the dealer will warranty your clutch its a normal wear and tear but you can always try.

Its only 5,000 miles, it should have held up, my other car is a stick and i drive it harder than i do my balt, it just only has 130hp but still if i drive so bad, that clutch should go every 5 thou too

i wouldnt say its so much on if you beat the **** outta your car. I drive mine like i stole it all the damn time. 14,000 miles now. no probs. Take no offence OP, its all in how good you can drive a stick. Granted, the ss/sc is totally different feeling than most sticks.

It doesn't matter if you know how to drive or not. It's not hard to drive stick. What everyone fails to realize is that you need to adapt to the car. You think you know how to drive stick and figured the car would change to meet your needs. Guess what.. it didn't happen and now look what you're left with. A smoked clutch.

i shift at all different rpms, if im beating it, i shift at 6,000, if im not, i shift at 3 or 4,000, and no i definatly do not rest my foot on the clutch, i know all about that. and its not totaly fryed, just between 1st and 2nd if your racing otherwise it's fine.

Do your tires have traction at the top of 1st when you shift on 1-2?

Or are you smoking the tires in 1st and trying to smoke them in 2nd too?

kiss my ass, i know how to drive a ******* stick. i didn't learn yesterday, i know how to drive a stick, i heard over the years all the things not to do when driving a stick, i have seen many clutches that have failed over the years because i am a mechanic, trust me, i know how to drive a stick, and both of my cars are hydrolic clutches, so i don't think there would be too much difference. the balt is just a little more grabby and i don't let it slip at all.

if im racing, sometimes it smokes the tires in first and second, but i try not to let that happen unless i am really racing someone i don't know if i can beat.

You have to have traction at the top of 1st before you shift to 2nd otherwise you will ge slip. This isn't a 500hp camaro with a stage 3 clutch. Like I said, adapt to the car and you won't have any issues.

I don't know thats why i am trying to find out if anyone else had this problem, like i said, i drive my escort zx2 10 times harder than i do my balt, and i only had to replace the clutch once and i have had it for 130,000 miles. i know it doesn't have as much power as the balt but still my balt should not have gone through a clutch in 5,000 miles, it doesn't add up.
