SS bumper..

I want to get a ground effects kit that GM has like this one, but i wonder is this part of the SS bumper

like comes off and can be added to a LT bumper just like a ground effects kit? The SS one looks better than the add on kit for the LT, so i want to mix it up.

Anyone know if that the SS bumper is 2 pieces and that bottom lip comes off? and i can order it at the dealership.

bottom lip comes off, but the LT and SS bumpers are different. SS bumper has clips holes for the lip while the LT bumper does not

Drill a couple of holes and glue or tape it on. Don't see why you can't make it work if you want it.

will not work. SS bumper is lower and wider while the LS bumper is higher and MUCH skinner, will not fit unless your cut and mold it to your bumper.

i haven't messed with my lip kit at all, so i'm not really sure. but i don't think the body dimensions are any different between LT/LS coupe and SS coupe, minus a few holes and bolts here and there.

i thought that the LS/LT bumpers were the same as the SS. I thought that the only difference was that the SS bumpers had slots and holes already in it for the SS body kit.

no the SS bumpers are a lil lower behind the wheels and if u look closley the SS bumpers dont have a cut-out for the exhaust and the SS/sc has a lil piece sticking down iin the middle for the lip

No.... you can tell the SS bumpers hang much lower and are different.

If you have an LS/LT rear and you're looking for a lower look it'd be cheaper to get a lip that's made for the base bumper as opposed to getting an SS bumper.
