Stage 2 is finally IN!

and wow. What a difference it is! I gotta say, it takes 1/4 the time for it to start pulling hard and its just so smooth and the 7k, oh man, the 7k its scary fast!
Now I'm just waiting for my 2.85 to come in the mail!

Everyone get this.

Congrats!

You're going to be cutting it close with the 2.85" on the 42#s though.

Cutting it too close, IMO.

Go ahead and get 60#ers if you're going to be dropping pulley sizes.

I know, I hard that the IDCs will be at nearly 100% cause a 2.9" is at 94%. But, I guess a bunch of people have a 2.85 on here and nobody has experienced problems yet (to my knowledge.)

I also personally talked to a guy at the Midwest meet who was running that setup for like 6 months now.

I might go ahead and just buy a 2.9 to be safe though. Unless the performance difference is huge.
I would go with some 60's but then i need a new tune, and other tunes aren't warrantied. You can always swap a pulley quickly in the event of a breakage of thy motor, Ya know?

Go with the 2.9". You will see a good boost in power, but won't max out the injectors.

I'm going to be getting my stage 2 in mid-May probably (c'mon paychecks....) and I'm thinking about doing the 2.9" pulley as well. When I have the dealer install the S2, should I just throw the 2.9" in there with it and have them do it at the same time? Also what's the power difference between 2.9" and stock pulleys on a stage 2, anyone know?

Well, if you have the dealer throw the 2.9" on there, bye bye warranty.

How hard is it to install? I might wind up doing it myself to keep the warranty

My service manager was cool with putting my 2.8 in with it. Warranty still in effect

Unless they discover my dyno tune I had done afterwards with my #60 injectors

Even then he will probably still go along and warranty the problem. I don't have a lot of miles left on my warranty anyway.
Mine had a 3/36 warranty and that's up in 13Kmiles which should be by the end of this year.

05-06 SS/SC's have a 6year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. Alot of people thing they are out after the 3/36 bumper to bumper is over, but the powertrain is still covered .

I see you went with a 2.9. How do you like it. Do you notice much of a difference at all??

Thanks
