Tires for SoCal Freeway Rain Grooves?
Tires for SoCal Freeway Rain Grooves?
I live in San Diego, yep nice weather, but the Freeways are grooved to enhance traction in the rain I suppose. However they make cars handle like crap-probably why there are so many accidents here-in dry weather!
Anyway, I don't have a Cobalt SS, I have a LT Sedan with the 16 inch aluminum wheels. I wanted to replace the Pirelli P6 OEMs which seem to be universally despised. I bought Goodyear Comfortreds hoping to smooth out my rough ride but the tires don't handle well at all so I swapped them out for Michelin Primacy MXV4. Now, these Michelin's handle great but just like the Goodyears they get caught in the Freeway grooves.
Is anyone here from SoCal who may have a good experience with tires that don't get affected by these grooves?
My tires are H Rated. Thanks.
