First track runs

well i guy i funally got to run the balt at the track

First ever run: 14.5@98 2. 0-60

Best run of the night: 14.2@99 2.2 0-60

consistent 14.3-.5 all night.

i dont think its to bad but what should i be hitting. I have a stage 2 kit with K&N CAI, ngk's, and a crappy muffler.

Should i be running this or faster. keep in mind i am running street tires and the car is my DD.

Let me know what u think

Your 60's look pretty good. Do a full exhaust and you will see a 14.0 at least.

Its hard to say exactly though because of track conditions, heat soak, shifting, and all the other variable that make up a run.

well the driver part i have down for sure. as for a tune i think its just the stage 2 stuff. i had a bad first gear all the time. to much spin of the line and then i would have to let of and then hit it again. axles sounded like they were gonna break.

I know this guy on the forum, I think his SN is ralliartist, he went 13.6 with just cooling mods, tune, and a cutout. Stock pulley! Crazy!

nice runs man, I'm definitely impressed with the 2.0 60ft. I am a little curious as to why your trap speed is so low though. You were racing in texas, which is notorious for some fast tracks, and you trapped pretty low for your mods. wierd.

no, I wouldn't have put "fastest stock pullied cobalt" if I had stage 2. I have no stage. Stock pulley, stock intake, stock exhaust other than the cutout. stock weight. stock plugs. Just cooling mods, a tune, and a cutout after the cat.

I don't have stage 1 either. I did swap in the 42lb injectors, but that was because I rev up to 7500rpms and I wanted to make sure I wasn't running out of fuel. My tune was easier to do with 42lb inj anyway since hardly anyone tunes with the stockers.

but still, I have NO STAGE KIT!

13.7 at 108 here. I got a little more than just a stage 2 and an intake. That isn't too bad for your first time ever. Next time you go try to shoot for 2.2 60's or under and right around 9.0 in the 1/8th. You get 9.0 in the 1/8th you got 13s. My 13.7 I ran 9.1 in the 1/8th, no traction. My previous best 13.86 had a 9.0 in the 1/8th, but it was hot out. I gained 4 mph on my traps just from going when it was cold out. Consider adding a h/e as well, will only help ya. Good luck next time.

holy **** bro! that's rediculously good! I'm still working on my 60ft.s and I use slicks now. Guess it would help if I went to a sticky track too. The 1/8th mile here is horrible, I got to make it back to KCIR.

well, that was a shakedown pass also, 2.0 60ft. not even launching hard. I broke the linkage roll pin after that.

I need to go back and get some new times.
