Ok so i ordered the CA V1 header w/ xtc 2.5 DP w/CAT. today and when it comes in i think im just gonna get an exhaust shop to build a 2.5" catback with no resonator and a muffler. Is there any 2.4 guys who have done this? Hows the noise level? I thought about a system but i just think getting one made would be different and quite a bit cheaper and no wait time.

Also i will be getting a tune done after these installs by Westers hopefully, i have been running regular gas for the past 15,000kms, will it hurt any to change to 91 or 93 now after using regular for so long? i guess its kinda required to get best results from tune+parts.

 

I think ur hurting her by not using 91 octane regular robs you performance wise and u risk the chance of premature detonation and knocking i think everyone would agree with me on this one.

 

its not really gonna kill ur engine not useing premium..


anyways.. i have my resonator gutted and it sounds awesome, and this monday i am getting my muffler on and might delete the resonator, dont listen to the people who say itll sound like a chainsaw, cuz it sure as hell doesnt!

no that is what you should be using! Especially after the tune!

 

plus you get a much better tune using premium than using regular gas.


about the resonator, thats down to personal preference. to me the CA DP and Header + high flow cat is loud enough for me (stock catback) but that's just me, though there are people on here run without muffler and will tell you it's not too loud. so that's really down to personal preference.
