New rims and tire package coming this summer.... I need opinions please.

Ok guys so Im finally gettin my rims sometime this summer, im really excited!!
I drive a 2007 Cobalt LT and will be getting 17" Azul Speed 6 rims in hyperblack... these are what they look like.. I think they willl look nice on my silver balt... black is played out in my opinion, and i really dont like chrome, not my style... so ima go with the hyperblack...

now about the tires... what size do u think i should get? 225/40/18? i want them to be a nice low profile tire but nothing TOO thin that a pot hole will ruin my rims... u know? something nice but not tooo fat... any opinions guys?

I really like them. Find out how much rubber the SS has, and I would say that is a safe bet. Also compare prices for tires.

well first off if you are getting 17" wheels... you dont want 225/40/18 tires... those are for 18"wheels.. thats what the 18 is for... i dont know my tires and sizes other than that...

the first number is how wide it is.. the the bigger the number the wider it is...
the second numer is a ratio of how tall it is...
that last number is the size rim it is for...

225/40/17 should keep you pretty close to the same overall diameter of the stock tires......which is good, because your speedo won't be off.

its not bad for it though, right?

is it better to buy rims and tires online for a cheaper price, or stop by a shop and pay full price? im debating...
