Took some pictures today...just got my circular polarizer for my Nikon so I thought I would give it a try...just let me know what you guys think.

Its a Nikon D40...entry level camera...it works for all I need though.

hey LP got a question or two...first: what lens are you using on the camera? and second: do you know what ISO you were shooting at? cause DAMN! those are some fine ass looking pics. you seem to have a knack for REALLY clean and clear pictures...and im looking at trying to get the same results :cool: if its a secret thats cool i understand lol:twothumbs

nice pics. question though. if you got a circular polarizer why do i still see the grass on the side of the car reflecting?? i know i got mine last weekend and i get no reflections with it

I do use photoshop quite a bit in all my pictures...in film photography people use a dark room to get their desired effects photoshop is just the digital version of that. Yes there was bugs due to me driving to college and back right before these were taken...the car is usually 100% clean since I only drive it about two days a week. About the reflections there may have been some yes due to the fact this was the first time I used it still havn't gotten it down 100% yet. In my photoshop editing though I use a lot of shadows/highlights well not a lot but enough to make everything stick out better. If anybody has any questions pm me or something and I will try to help as much as possible.

Camera used was Nikon D40 it has a 6 and some odd cents megapixel. Honestly though its not all about the camera its about technique and editing to be honest any photographer can tell you that. Not trying to boast but I feel as if I have came a long way from my first shots I took with this camera.

Thanks for the great comments guys..maybe one day I will try to get car of the month but since my shit is stock other than Stage 2, full exhaust, and a few other odds and ends I doubt I would have a chance. Though hopefully I can get into the next calendar out for next year.
