I just got 4 BRAND NEW Gunmetal rims because of that thing GM calls a Warranty (yes, they do actually warranty stuff!).

No. Not the NEW ones at least, they are still in boxes at the Dealership. I haven't even seen them yet.

There was no argument. I pointed to the MANY spots where they were pitted and looking like ****.

You SHOULD be able to get them warrantied for the reasons that you mentioned.

I'd prefer to sell the rims AND tires... as I'll probably be getting G5 GT rims & tires (17"). Unless I find some rims like the ones I pictured above.

I don't know shipping. But I can only imagine... 4 boxes... with tires they will weigh close to 50lbs a piece.

 

Did you do those spots or were they already there, I figure it would be hard to convince GM that they have been there unnoticed for that long.

What? They pitted (bubbled up and flacked off) on their own. The service manager took pictures... and I got new rims. It was pretty simple.

 

Shipping for all 4 w/ tires will be close to $100. Maybe more, depending on location.

No. Chipping rims does not warrant needing new tires.
