well last week i tried to organize a meet at 35th. ave and union hills was a big hit for our fellow redline owners but no ss's came out. well i figured i would try one more time to get something organized for us so if you are interested we will be meeting up around 8:00pm at sonic. well hopefully this meet turns out and looking forward to meeting you guys :cssNET:

I'm in the phoenix area every weekend so it's no big deal. Have you tried getting anyone over to Firebird? It would be awesome to make a strong showing to race one of these weekends.

I am planning on it i just have to see when they have open night i was also going to do the same for speedworld, the redline guys were wanting to get something together so i was thing of trying to get something organized as a big group.

The cops will be organising re occuring stings in that area 35th and union area and their first test was last saturday or was it friday?. They nabbed a crap load oh people from what the article said although im not sure if the numbers are of course inflated. Because of this I feel maybe a different location to meet and greet would be good although i seriously dont care where but meeting up is always fun. yea i heard they were cracking down on street racing but im not woried about meeting up there because its a meet not illegal street racing. its the stupid assholes who think they have a nice peice of shit "hooptie" doing burnouts and driving like complete assholes that get hit up. and i think if we all get there at 8:00 or just a little after we will be able to get parking spots. allthough earlier wouldnt hurt! if it gets too wild or stupid we could just cruise over to 44th. and bell. but it should be cool

Next time we should meet up how we did but then hit up a secluded highway so that we dont run into traffic lights,traffic etc: then maybe throw a race or two down? it was a excellent turn out but nobody really put much thought into doing something after everybody met up

yeah that drive home was fun ... to think I used to work way the hell out there and drove that highway every single day. Put over 100 miles on my car last night to and from the meet alone.

What do you guys thick about getting together and doing some sort of auto x racing? Ive always wanted to do it and I think the ss would be a great car to try it with. the only prob. is I dont know of any

PIR has a roadcourse. I'm not sure how they run that thing though.

I know the one Corvette clubs rents it out for track days. The Cobra club does the same thing. I don't know how much they charge.

I was thinking maybe doing the Bondurant Shifter carts, but that is like 300-400 for 4 hours of class and track time.

That would be pretty funny if it did, but I know that they won't. The owner of my old work got the "ultimate kart experience" for his birthday last year. Lets say that he isn't the lightest person in the world. You might actually bennefit from being *cough* bigger than some of us.

At speedway my ass goes sliding from one side of the seat to the other and I have bruises on my hips and shoulders for a week after. That's just taking turns. It hurts even more when I get slammed into the wall. Well worth it though. Plus the car slides around a lot on me. I'm willing to put money on it that if I had another 10-20 lbs. on me, my lap times would improve.
