SS/SC 1/8 mile!

So couple days ago i headed to the local track (1/8 mile, i know i know its all we got close)

Last time i was stock and my best run was a 9.9 with a LOT more traction

My best time on sunday was a 9.21 with a freind in the car.

Some kid was there in what looked like a basically stock SRT-4 neon with BOV and intake. Through tech you could see him laughing at my car acting all cocky.

So i asked him to race.... I ran my WORST time of the day at a 9.53 and i still beat his ass! He was running steady 9.65's the whole day. IMMEDIATLEY after the race was over, he went home!!!!!! didnt even leave his car. The best part of it was his friend whipped out his cell phone to tape "the SRT4 stomping the cobalt" ahaha im sure he deleted that one!

Good show, the only cars where I went this past weekend were a couple of RWD muscle cars running 9.8s in the 1/4 and they were coasting at the end of the run. My best 1/8 was a 9.399 I really need some traction...

All I have to say is that people around you SUCK at driving. Hard Core. A lot of those cars should have been no contest in the 1/8th.

A 9.21 is not bad, but in reality you should be somwhere in the 8's. I know I'll get **** for saying this, but most of the stock srt neons seem to run low 9's stock in the 1/8th.

well, this track was just a pit lane set up with timers and lights. So the ground was just regular concrete so traction was a big issue. Plus, My 2nd gear synchro went bad so i had to shift really slow to get it in gear...

Its in the shop right now getting a brand new tranny and a Spec Stage II+ clutch. So hopefully my times will get better.

Man, Florida weather sucks the power right out of our cars or something, Its bad, the track is 160' above sea level but the atmospheric conditions make it equivalent to 2000 plus ft. I can't wait to see what it can do in PA and TX when I go.

This is my best 1/8th, stock Pirelli's and mods in my sig.
60' - 2.145
330' - 5.892
1/8 - 8.948
MPH - 79.85mph
