okay, so, I jsut ordered the pacesetter monza exhaust from TTR....... at the prcie, I couldn't resist....... I was jsut curious if anybody has installed one and how they like it? whats the sound like? etc.

yeah i am tempted into pacesetter but all the ones i have heard are nasty sounding.

love mine. sounds great, no rasp. nice n deep.

I had a pacesetter on my old Cobalt. I liked the sound of it so thats what i'm going to buy for my SS/SC

i got a cheap cobalt so the cheap exhaust works..... i think mine was defective becuase i have a rattle inside of it making it rasp from 3rpms-3.5.. besides that i love it

A simple "They tend to rust and dont sound so great" would of sufficed. But the "if you like this exhaust you have no taste..." is pretty ignorant.

i had mine for a long time, and it never rusted. held up much better than the stock one did. and it sounded great by itself. once i added a downpipe it sounded like ass though.,

when you say they tend to rust, are you going off of experience or just spitting out what other people have said? because though everyone claims they will rust, i don't remember EVER reading a thread about someone saying it rusted on them.

well a big problem sound-wise when you add anything to it is that there's no resonator. by itself, i thought it sounded great. start adding exhaust parts, and you better buy a resonator.

QFT, i had to go bak to my stock DP because it sounded so bad. But the cat-bak by itself is really nice and i love the sound.

crap, so ppl are having bad sounds with this with a bigger DP? i was planning on getting the ss/sc downpipe. i do have the pacesetter exhaust. at some times, it does sound like there is a lil rattling til u get higher rpms. but i love the sound. its not magnaflow, but its not a fart cannon as some say.

i have a vid, but like i said, u can hear the rattling a lil bit. but then again, im flooring it while its wet and in a small driveway. i need to take more vids. wont get that done for awhile. i'll try to get the vid up now.

i wanna get the pacesetter headers too if they are bigger than my 07 manifold (i have the same size as ss/sc manifold)

i gave my resonator away with my stock exhaust so putting that on is not an option. dont want it anywayz cause it put to much restriction on it.

i have a 2.2 2.4 might put more air through the exhaust so it might sound better.

i have the pacesetter, but after about 6 months the back of the muffler ruptured, so i put a new muffler and it sounds good, and is still better money wise than all the other exhausts out there.

had one on my ls and it sounded good, people would turn their head to see what it was with there jaws on the floor like as if it was some kind of ferrari passing them, jk. its well worth the money no rust, easy as hell to install, and still holds up after 2 years.

Tuna is just running his mouth. To tell you the truth I think that his megan catback sounds worse, and looks worse, than the pacesetter.

I have it and like someone else said, it sounded descent until I added a different downpipe. I just added a magnaflow muffler to it and it sounded great and was still cheaper than all those other systems out there.

we used pacesetter mufflers on a friends custom built exhaust on his m3... those rusted hard after one winter.. maybe there exhaust are different but those mufflers rusted like non other.

Your right you have an exhaust that sounds 10x worse than any catback and the best part is that it is under axle! :lol:

don't need a lift, just jackstands. if you don't have a floor jack and jackstands, you can get 2 jackstands and a nice floor jack for about $75 from wallmart. well worth it if you ever plan on doing anything to your car.

I have a gravel driveway, thats the one problem..... personally Id rather do it right and have it on a lfit to double check shit and make sure its on good........ one of my mechanic buddies will let me use his lft, problem is I"m waiting until the week after next until he's free

just because you don't have a lift doesn't mean you're not doing it right. but, if you're friend has a lift you can borrow when you need to then that's better than buying a jack.

hell yea.... put the exhaust on yesterday........ I lvoe it.... not ricey sounding at all, whihc was my main fear.... a little pain in the ass and one of the pipe ends were slightly bent during shipping, but, that was the only roadblock.... well, aside form the fact the tip melted a tid bit of my rear bumper >_<. but overall, I am extremely satisfied!!! check out my cardomain for some pics http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2855212
