drop in K&N with air box mod

just put the KN drop in into my car with the air box mod. seems to be driving alot more smooth and the pull in the lower rpm's is noticeably better. so for 50 bucks id say its a good little mod. just throwing in my little experience.

I think i can paint a verbal pic. Picture a stock engine bay. Ok now picture changing your stock air filter. Now picture that your stock filter is this red color where the white is.

the airbox mod.... there's that gigantic resonator thing underneath the airbox that fills the entire area underneath the headlight......... all you do is rip that out.... you cant see it from the engine bay

Im almost 100% certian he means he took out the plastic bong under the headlight and put in a drop in box filter. Which probably nets just as many poneys as the gmpp intake.

it looks just like it did stock, i used the K&N replacement air filter, not a cone. i can take a picture but it would be pointless. i just took out the resonator is all i meant by the air box mod. sorry for the confusion.

on another subject i got the gm match paint and from the little bit i have done so far it seems to work well, i will get some before and after pictures of that for yall though.

I was reading the how to on the air box mod, but i don't want to take out my headlight (don't want to line it back up) is there another way to do the mod without removing the headlight?

the fender well on the right side of the vehicle can come out and i think that with that out you can get out the hunk of plastic

I got the gm installed cold air intake but they leave the box in to support the intake. So if I take this plastic garbage out I will notice a bigger difference then I do now?

Hes a 2.2 not meaning the 2.0 air box mod

Remove the front left wheel and take of the innner lining. you'll see it

btw its not hard lining up your headlight
